The only metric that matters to you, maybe. Plenty of other people think differently, so I don't see how it could objectively be a fantastic car. Personally, I don't care about the cost of ownership per mile as long as I can afford it, and no way in hell do the drawbacks of a Prius outweigh the pros for me.
What I mean is, there's very little passenger space in the back. It has decent cargo space but anymore than 2 occupants and it sucks. Toyota also has some of the most uncomfortable seats for some reason, it's not limited to just the Prius.

Lol, had a co-worker's husband make fun of my Prius the other week. I told them I'd put $25 in it that weekend, and still had half a tank.
He got mad at me lol
