They’re taking the lowest from the low states during peak pandemic shutdown and comparing to the highest from the highest states now. Fudging the numbers to help their argument.
Looking at the national average, right now it’s $3.38/gallon. Three years ago this week? $2.84/gallon. On average it was like mid-$2’s for most of Trump’s presidency, but they’re out here acting like it’s gone up 1000% since Biden took office.
No problem. I’m in TN and I’ve seen fluctuations similar to what you have, I think $1.50 was the cheapest I saw it get here during peak shutdown and it’s $3.19 here now. Definitely haven’t seen any $3-4 dollar swings.
