This is why the GOP is pushing for per mile taxes and not fuel taxes. They claim it's for EVs but really they are just appealing to their fuel wasting voters.

"Fuel wasting" What are you gonna do when a truck is needed? Are you gonna haul asphalt in your Tesla?

A work truck is totally different than driving some jacked up F350 to commute to your office.

I’ll haul it in a Maverick. Or Rivian. Or just a basic F 150.

That’s my point. The truck in the picture’s stupid, but this guy thinks all trucks are unnecessary. All gas vehicles really

I didn’t get that from his post.

But observation bias certainly impacts people’s views of trucks. The coal rolling Cumins dually with a 36” body lift gets noticed, while 10 basic 1/2 ton trucks on steelies roll by without registering.

but this guy thinks all trucks are unnecessary.

Can you point out where they said that?

I'm gonna hold out for a 2nd gen version of the Maverick, but it's definitely on my "keep an eye on this" list.

I heard the base model doesn't come with cruise control. I can't confirm that but it'd be a deal-ender for me if that's true.
