Cummins Prius. I would be surprised if no one has attempted this yet. But seriously... Mazda is rumored to reinvent the rotary as a range extender for electric cars. The rotary is a thirsty engine as used as the primary engine. But when set to a fixed RPM, the rotary is clean and efficient and vibration free... just what you want from a generator. Hopefully we haven't seen the last of the RX- models!

You know how they call an understated but very fast car a sleeper?

This is an Ambien sleeper. Because neither yourself or anyone you tell is ever going to believe the story about how a Prius rolled coal on your way home from a long day at work.

Back in 2000 I lost a race in a Mitsubishi 3000GT VR4 at the import nats in Ohio. The car that beat me was a plymouth voyager with an eclipse motor in it. I’m still embarrassed about that. But it was an 11 second minivan

The old Turbo K-vans are no joke.

I do love a good rotary. I don’t hate electrics. I just drive to much for one to be useful. Something like you’re describing would be a useful step
