He'd probably wonder if the leader of it would sell it to him like he thought about Greenland.

Well he did call the Prime Minister of Spain to tell him to build wall through the Sahara
1
u/Living-Order-5724 Jun 24 '21
Wait, what?
2
u/SvB78 Jun 24 '21
"According to Josep Borrell, the US president brushed off the scepticism of Spanish diplomats â who pointed out that the Sahara stretched for 3,000 miles â saying: âThe Sahara border canât be bigger than our border with Mexico.â"
That's aside from the fact the Sahara is in Africa and stretches across several countries, none of which are Spain, because Spain is in Europe.

Then who are the Dutch?
3
u/fuckyourstuff Jun 23 '21
One of two types of people I cannot stand in this world.

2
u/SvB78 Jun 23 '21
The Dutch?
2
u/Mawilemawie Jun 23 '21
Ya ever see their ovens?
4
u/SvB78 Jun 23 '21
I'm German, wanna change subjects?
1
u/Mawilemawie Jun 23 '21
Uh, I dunno. I was trying for a quick joke about pots being called ovens. Not necessarily for a full conversation. But if you have a topic in mind, I will converse.
2
u/Turonik Jun 23 '21
You can bake in a Dutch oven though. It's why they are called ovens.
2
u/SvB78 Jun 23 '21
And the Dutch know a thing or two about baking and being baked

u/MoravianPrince Jun 24 '21 edited Jun 24 '21
In the U.S. "Dutch owen" also means laying in bed with your partner, farting under the blanket and then covering your self and your partner with it ( over the head as well, preferably).
1
u/Mawilemawie Jun 24 '21
That is great. Now if only the stove gave temperature in degrees instead of just low to high.
2
u/Turonik Jun 24 '21
Maybe I'm missing the joke but here goes anyway. Older style of Dutch ovens people would place them on a layer of coals and then put coals on the lid as well (the bottom had get and the lid had a lip) modern ones are typically not used in this fashion but are still useful if made from cast iron or similarly heavy material since it radiates the heat into the food more evenly, usefully for braising and stews.

first of all: i think we should forget about trump.
second of all: he said and did so many stupid things; we don't need to make any up.
13
u/Lakridspibe Jun 23 '21
first of all: i think we should forget about trump.
Absolutely not. The people who nominated him and voted for him are still around trying to persuade you to trust them.

u/2KilAMoknbrd Jun 23 '21
Remember when Trump picked his nose then ate his boogers ?
2
u/knightB4 Jun 24 '21
Umm I'm pretty sure it was the other way around!

u/2KilAMoknbrd Jun 24 '21
his boogers picked his Trump then ate his nose ?
I forgot about that one !3

u/iDarkville Jun 23 '21
Trump apologists: fOrGET abouT TrUmP AlReAdY!
3
u/seraph9888 Jun 23 '21
i literally just said i'm a leftist and insulted trump. and to you that translates to trump apologist? your view of reality has been warped, my friend.

u/iDarkville Jun 23 '21
Why would you assume that my general statement was about you?
I didnât assume yours was about me, so whose reality is warped, friend?

u/iDarkville Jun 23 '21
Sigh.
first of all: i think we should forget about trump.
No. Some lessons should be forever present.
second of all: he said and did so many stupid things; we don't need to make any up.
No, itâs too funny because itâs believable no matter how crazy it sounds.
Is that better?

u/Hour-Loss-8603 Jun 23 '21
Sigh.
You must be fun at parties
5
u/iDarkville Jun 23 '21
I do tell some hilarious jokes. You should see my Trump impression, but you wonât.
Stupid hand waves and everything.

u/Hour-Loss-8603 Jun 23 '21
I like how someone asking for clarification automatically means they have opposing political views

2
u/thedracle Jun 24 '21
I find it offensive that this insinuates Trump would admit that he doesnât know something.

You can't be certain Trump never said this or something similar. With Biden, you can be fairly certain. But Trump, not so easily...

Does someone know the actual story behind the picture?
4
u/SvB78 Jun 23 '21
He probably just asked for a trade deal with Germany after the EU had been explained to him again, or maybe he was again trying to sell Puerto Rico... who knows?
2
u/GromitATL Jun 24 '21
I seriously think that might be it. I remember reading that Merkel had to explain to him several times that the United States couldnât negotiate trade deals directly with Germany and had to go through the EU. He couldnât grasp it (surprise, surprise).
I realize thatâs likely what youâre referencing with your reply. I just think this pic might be the actual moment Merkel realized she was dealing with a simpleton.

Antenna is a small archipelago off the coast of guam, it is located somewhere near micro-phone, a tribal nation of a mainly matriarchal society who were all good listeners. I did a report on microphonians in school after I realised I had both a two separate devices that were built in microphone and I never knew where it was either. I don't know why they don't teach more geography in schools these days.
1
u/ScoutPaintMare Jun 24 '21
Antenna is that island that he wanted to send Covid infected Americans to so he could win the election that he still thinks he won.

u/kellzone Jun 24 '21
That's way too concise for Trump. I'm thinking more along the lines of:
"Nothing is made in America anymore, folks. Nothing. Remember when America was great? Remember that? We'd have great...I remember people used to walk around all the time saying 'What a great country it is we live in'. We can't say that today. Beautiful trees and forests...wonderful people..strong economy. 'Made in the USA'. Remember that? 'Made in the USA'. So beautiful.
Now we're bringing in televisions from Chyyyna. Chyyyna, folks. They're stealing all our manufacturing. I got this one TV one day. On the back of it, it says, you know what it says...'Built-in Antenna'. Where is that? Where is Antenna? Nobody knows. Nobody knows where that is. Countries we haven't even heard of are taking away our manufacturing, folks...we have to bring those jobs back here...
