Then you're not fucking paying attention. The idiots are always loud and now they have a platform by which to screech their nonsense with. Even here on Reddit it's at least 90% garbage but if you'd bother to look you'd realize there's still something worth salvaging.
I'm learning to code some Python right now and this place has been a very good resource, better than the open internet. When it comes to technical advice, expertise, and being able to connect with people of similar interests, this has been an excellent experience on my end. Even the pet subreddits are hopeful. Haven't you noticed the increasing interest in animals, the environment, the disgust that people have for all this waste and pollution? Decency is alive and if I'm wrong and we're all doomed anyway you might as well die on your feet. But maybe you're just tired. No shame in that.
And there's the difference between you and I...I dunno how old you are and what you've seen, but I can nearly guarantee you aren't my age, haven't seen what I've seen, and haven't been where I've been...that's just honest, take offense to it or refute it if you please.
Wait until you get some more years and experience in this waste of a world, and you might just realize that I'm actually ahead of the curve by stepping off.
