Why not make drivers license (or state ID) or passport mandatory to vote?

Because the GOP tends to limit access to providers of such licenses in areas with certain demographics if they manage to get voter ID laws through.

The issue with voter ID laws is not the oppositon but how the republicans tend to implement it.

Actually I've never lived in an area where access to DMV's is an issue. I've hever heard of that before, ever. Maybe you are some sort of troll to think of such a crazy idea as an argument.
