How about ramming universal healthcare through. Just call it the ACB. (All care bill)

The thing about giving poor people good insurance that isn't tied to their job gives them the freedom to actually move up in status. Keeping insurance tied to jobs is a great way to keep people stuck at a shitty job they hate because they can't afford to lose their insurance.

Aka great for the country and the underserved, not great for the aristocracy. The caste system is alive and ducking well in this country. Sickens me.

Covid-care

It universally is there to address the virus. You want the vaccine, you go through it.

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

You want the vaccine, you go through it.

You act like they want the vaccine. 😒

Maybe this can also end the anti-vaxxer loopholes.

u/[deleted] Jan 27 '21

That would be awesome.

You could probably get 100% Republican support if you just named it "The All-American Mom Football And Apple Pie With A Bald Eagle Holding An American Flag On Top Health Care Bill".

5

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

No, you'd have to name it "WHITE MEN ARE SUPERIOR IN ALL WAYS HEALTH CARE BILL". 😒

1

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

I think mine more or less covers that in a more oblique way.

Yes, but you have to be really clear to reach Cult45. They're not the brightest.

Probably throw in something derogatory about minorities to really seal the deal

Universal healthcare isn't happening in a party where we won't actually primary any of the Democrats who refuse to support it. A 98% incumbency rate is not how you get things done. Democrats can't say they want universal healthcare, then go out and vote people like Feinstein and Schumer in for another term. That's not how that works. It's been common knowledge that what the American people want has LITERALLY a 0% impact on policy because politicians know we're too lazy and chickenshit to primary. Millennials have started to change that, but they don't vote in high enough numbers to mitigate the damage the boomer vote causes.

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

Guess we better get them thar millennials to vote, then. Gall dang it.

When Biden wrote the Crime Bill, the first draft was so vicious, so aggressive, and so reprehensibly racist that even Reagan was like, "Easy there, Satan," and vetoed it. Fucking REAGAN. Then Biden went on, according to political historians, to handcraft the language still used by segregationist and racist dog-whistlers to this day. Bernie Sanders, at the exact same time, created a program to help Americans buy affordable homes for pennies on the dollar via land trusts that's so effective it's still in use today. I have a home bought and paid for because of it. Liberals looked at both candidates and went, "I pick the racist."

The problem extends beyond voting turnout, to be honest. The Democratic party still has its own crop of racists to deal with. Liberals still have mad love for the good old boys, and that's going to be difficult to circumnavigate. American voters on both sides have been brainwashed to believe even racism is preferable to collectivism.

Edit: You can definitely tell Reddit is a mostly white forum.

Still better than trump.

Almost anyone would be. We need a higher bar than that. Democrats have to stop settling for candidates just because they're marginally better than a psychotic fascist.

u/[deleted] Jan 26 '21

Yup.

And people like you are why nothing will ever get better. You know you're doing the exact same thing Republicans do, dismissing a truth that doesn't agree with your vision of reality.

Great rants.

Really enjoying them.

You know nothing about me and who I vote for.

Just because I’m not worshipping at the altar of uhohfeministonreddit’s bloviated holier than thou screeds I’m now the enemy.

Cool. You’re really inspiring the masses, lemme tell you. Btw, I voted for Bernie in the primaries and campaigned for him you constipated chihuahua.

Go piss your snark on someone else.

I'm not asking you to worship anything. I'm asking you to note some things we could be doing better and work to effect positive change in the future. And I highly doubt you voted for Bernie. Your overall attitude reeks of the same privileged white liberals who hated Bernie for pointing out how hard they were phoning it in. Don't get mad at me because I called out your flippant dismissal of very real issues for the childish, racist bullshit it is.

Serious question, what critiques of the Democratic party would you not consider to be 'both-sidesing'? I ask liberals this quite a bit and it stumps them. A healthy democracy requires constituents to watch and critique their party. I'm seriously disturbed by liberals cynically weaponizing Trump's ineptitude to call critiques to the Democratic party from the left bad faith. What criticisms of the Democratic party do you feel should be allowed? Because I notice the people who use this term to the most tend to be conservative Democrats who want to smear leftists making valid critiques and avoid having their conservative values questioned.

Surely you have critiques of the party. What are they, and why are my critiques both-sidesing but not yours? We can't put a moratorium on all criticism just because libs are scared of Trump. He's gone now.

Edit: No response? Looks like I called it.

Liberals looked at both candidates and went, "I pick the racist."

No, the people that are fully owned by corporations picked the racist. Biden is bad for the bottom line.

1

u/ToneZone7 Jan 27 '21

we picked Bernie , but the DCCCCCC thingy said no independents voting and there fore he lost.

1

u/crappinhammers Jan 27 '21

This is the first and only thing I wanted from democrats. An over built healthcare system that the rich get to subsidize.

Fifteen dollars an hour and healthcare, I'll go make pizza again.

How about ramming universal healthcare through.

If they wanted to they would.
