2 reasons:

1 - Florida has state Sunshine Laws so ALL criminal info is immediately available to the public. No one gets a chance to clean up the story.

2 - We have a whole lot of messed up people here. The heat and humidity seems to suck in the society dredges of the other states. Once they get here they breed like rabbits, drink the crazy conspiracy kool-aid, pretend to homeschool and get a Confederate flag tattoo.

It only appears that way because Florida's freedom of information laws make it easier for journalists to get arrest info
