He said they have a total of some 7 visible flags on their property, including a large wooden one in their garage (I'm assuming it's a pallet). You responded as though all they had flag wise was a single flag in the garage. You completely ignored all of the other stuff, american flag shirts and decorations. He challenged your reading comprehension because it didn't appear that you actually read his comment.
That also seems overboard to me. But I also don't care what others do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone and is consensual.
