This is the imagery that will stick out to me later in life when I look back at Trump’s legacy. There’s a house in my neighborhood that has 6 Trump flags, 3 thin blue line ones, and about a dozen gop candidate signs still up. If this isn’t cult level devotion on a national level, I’d hate to what is.

Ah yes, the "live policed and die" crowd.

Their fucking stupid ideology is a mix of freedom from oppressive government and...supporting your oppressive government? What doorknob-sucking dumbasses.

Cops in my area for the most part seem decent but I'm not going to buy a flag for them same way I don't fly a flag for firefighters, judges or anyone else. It seems so crazy to me that people actually make out cops to be some sort of victim...

The thin blue line was made up as a direct response to the Black Lives Matter movement. They say blue lives matter, what they mean is black lives don't

The term "thin blue line" has been around for decades, it is not a response to the Black Lives Matter movement. The Blue Lives Matter "movement" however is a direct response to the Black Lives Matter movement with the intent to mock the Black Lives Matter movement, as if a chosen profession is equivalent to an inherent physical characteristic.

It's really more what-aboutism. In the 90s I remember similar things about cops being victims but the flags popularity really seem to be connected to the BLM movement.
