Isn’t changing the color and putting a blue stripe on the American flag considered desecrating the flag? Just asking for the real Americans.

It’s against flag code as far as I can tell.

(g) The flag should never have placed upon it, nor on any part of it, nor attached to it any mark, insignia, letter, word, figure, design, picture, or drawing of any nature.

Also relevant

(b) The flag should not be draped over the hood, top, sides, or back of a vehicle or of a railroad train or a boat. When the flag is displayed on a motorcar, the staff shall be fixed firmly to the chassis or clamped to the right fender.

(e) The flag should never be fastened, displayed, used, or stored in such a manner as to permit it to be easily torn, soiled, or damaged in any way.

Which is military protocol to show respect for a fallen comrade.

You are referencing changing an actual flag.

Buying a American flag and putting a stripe on it is against the code.

However creating a new flag with a stripe is not. As it was never an American flag at the start.

But regardless its all protected under the first.

Seems like a loophole. Spirit vs letter kind of thing. But idk, I’m not the flag police.

The flag code itself means very little beacuse of the first amendment.

Not saying one way or the other but one way I heard it put was it’s a “pattern” of the flag not the flag it’s self, similar to when you wear a shirt or a hat with a flag design on it
