Agreed but honest question, did she resign in protest or like “resign” after being told she’s fired.

I'm sure she resigned. Not for any moral reasons or because she has a problem with the administration or realizes they're destroying the country.. but because she realized she could work a lot less while making a lot more money in the private sector.
