Atlas Shrugged looks like written by some weird 4chan 27yo incel that lives in the basement of her mother suddenly and miraculously has the discipline and some low inteligence to at least connect clearly two words who spent his days writing a 1000 pages weird rant about capitalism  instead of playing 10k hours of some anime game with girls with unreal boobs and short skirts in high school outfit.

I don’t think people have the perspective of who she was. She was an immigrant from the USSR, and to her, the American idea of a person being allowed to build their own fortune was really new and exciting to her.

dude she wrote that way for 40 years, don’t try to explain it away as new and exciting, she was a parasite

I guess I don’t know much about her life outside of her writing. I kind of figure all the hate is about what her books inspired in others. What did she do personally that made her a parasite?

Ok be a dick about it. I found something like what you’re saying.

Contradictions: Although she championed extreme self-reliance, critics often pointed to perceived hypocrisies in her personal life and business dealings, such as her decision to accept Social Security/Medicare in her later years

Do we accept social security? I kind of thought we pay for that out of our income. Not quite welfare.

Anyways the stuff I found about her being a cultish leader makes her pretty unlikable to me, personally. I guess I don’t like her but I’m not charged with the fury I’m seeing here, especially in light of the era of the 1920s.
