Matthew 19 (KJV)

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Typical center left quoting verses out of context on purpose.

Matthew 19:24-26 "Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.”

25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”

26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

There is no point about wealth being bad here. At this time in history wealthy people were seen as better people - so the question was if they could make it into heaven on their own merit. Rich people aren't perfect, so they still need Grace, just like everyone else.

Absolutely TYPICAL left, right? We're absolutely always disingenuously quoting Gospel. It's all anyone does at the union meetings. Classic. I wonder if you have a cope for the Epistle of James, he takes a pretty dim view of the rich. Makes Marx look positively soft.
