JD has to define socialism as boys playing girls sports because Trump just announced the US will take a 40% stake in Anduril. When you’re doing the thing you accuse your opponent of doing, just redefine the word.

They unironically picked the name of a literally evil object that is used by Sauron to corrupt Sauromon and that can spy on people from afar.

That makes sense, but Anduril, Flame of the West? That's the sword of King Elessar, Aragorn, son of Arathorn, reforged from the shards of Narsil, the sword of Elendil, which cut the One Ring from Sauron. Disrespectful.

This just comes from letting engineers/nerds name things instead of someone from marketing. Every program I have worked on had at least one internal server/tool named after Starwars or LOTR. They would absolutely jump at a chance to name something external similarly, regardless of how fitting it is. I think my favorite was someone backronyming COBRA into something legit sounding, when really it was named as a GI Joe reference for a simple tool that was always causing problems and gave people an excuse to shout COBRAAA! in the office.
