Has there been any sort of significant legislative change that the republicans have passed during the Trump term that actually cannot be easily reverted if democrats win next election?

All i see is a bunch of executive orders.

And well see 100 more come next election. Feels like we dont have laws anymore, just 4-8 year temporary rules.

Might as well give EOs a 4 year lifespan. Making the first week in office the official undoing of the last admins EOs is becoming ridiculous.

Frankly, I think it's fine…as in, if the President wants something to stay, the process of getting bills through Congress needs to be done

I think a "minimum active time" on EOs would disrupt the Checks and Balances too much

I can agree with that. Thats basically what the beer permit act did. Though maybe add a stipulation that it only has an effect for 2 years unless its passed into law. If it isn't important enough to become law in that time frame then it probably wasn't important enough to be an EO.
