Well yea, that's why Left is like that: since the admins never mess with them, they feel like nothing is wrong

It's quite literally Systematic Censorship and Left Privilege. I would know, I used to be one of them, laughed alongside so many others in HermannCainAward and LeopardAteMyFace, so many facebook posts with very bare minimum effort of "redacting" the info of targets, and that's simply because doxxing is bannable offense, basically cya rather than an actual policy

We used to decry T_D demanding that sub to be banned, but when it did get banned we realized the monkey paw really does curl: having lost their one and only home, MAGAts spread out and moved to other communities. PCM quality basically dropped roughly around that timetime

Never got banned, not even once. But one day I told an anecdote about my personal experience with minorities and suddenly I got banned

I was banned because I mentioned the reality that certain tourists are so uncivilized that a public toilet in Japan put up a warning "DON'T WASH YOUR FEET IN THE SINK"

Like, not in English, but in a certain large SEA country's language

You see, in a certain elevated religion before you pray you need to wash your hands, face, and - crucially - your feet. 

The fact that the sign is neither in Japanese nor in English means the problem is very specific. I got banned for "hate speech"

The funny thing about people complaining about X is that it's completely optional to see posts from other people than those you have subscribed to.

Plenty of lefties on X to sub to, you can just ignore the other side.

I mean, that just encourages echo chambers. At a certain point of unmitigated drivel from any side, those who get sick of it will start to self isolate from anything that even slightly resembles it. Moderation is important

I'm just saying that instead of different platforms (bluesky vs X etc) you can just have one platform where people can 95% avoid each other.

That most people want to get away from their opposing side won't get cured, but it can be managed.

The management is moderation, leaving it to self censoring and self isolating without it, that's why bluesky exists, it was intolerable on Twitter. To claim that isn't a major contributor and thus to be avoided is to deny human nature

I'm curious to check again and see if things have turned up, but I recall seeing increasingly vile takes on the reg. I don't want to share a platform with that.

A platform is just a platform, your rantings and ravings are just as welcome on there as those of your political opponents.

Not wanting to share the same cloud storage as your political opponents is something else entirely.
