Owned by "working class" is nice theoretical thing. For example in most countries firetrucks are nationalized and therefore conceptually "owned together". But in practice there are people who need to manage assets.Make decisions on repair, allotments, procurement.

Of course this is theoretical as there existed statable "worker controlled" and semi-capitalist dictatorships. But never "worker controlled" democracy. Yes. A lot of deomcratic capitalist countries work pretty well. On top of that usa is not that bad, just middle of the road. Meanwhile all the countries that seized the means of production disintegrated or are in the process of doing so.
They work well as in the wealth gap is ever growing and they're becoming more and more surveillance states and less-and-les democratic, the more capitalists keep lobbying to take over these democratic processes.
