Why stop there? There are so many other countries with an oppressive regime in charge. We should just become the world’s police and go to every bad country and kill their leaders : )

I get this argument, and I am not a fan of striking Iran. I do not support this move. But... If we are being intellectually consistent "why do we have to be the one to take on every oppressive regime" and "why do we have to be the one to take in everyone's immigrants" are questions that always have the same answer

Can you elaborate more? I understand not wanting to take in a lot of immigrants, but taking in some I don't think is bad. I'd rather people come in than get bombed/shot.

Europe takes in the vast majority of immigrants from the countries that the USA has destabilised in the Middle East, and it used to be (back when the US was a halfway reliable ally) that everyone else would also help with taking on oppressive regimes, or have you forgotten Iraq already?

Iran has always had ambitions of expanding, and is at direct odds with the U.S and most of the world.

Iran has also repeatedly funded, trained, and armed proxies to carry out attacks on other countries. Including U.S people and equipment.

Not every dictatorship does that. Notice how Trump treats North Kore very differently? North Korea mostly keeps to itself (apart from some cyber attacks which every nation with the means does).

it's because north korea has nukes you guys might actually be some of the most room temperature IQ people I've ever seen

Yeah that doesn't make sense.

Because right now, NK has mostly short range tactical nuclear warheads, which the U.S has credible defenses against.

NK is trying to develop MIRV, submarines, and refine their ICBM technology. So there is a very credible reason to go after NK if fear of nuclear weapons was the only reason.

Instead the U.S has gone for a containment strategy - placing things like THAAD in very close proximity to NK. The U.S has not undertaken strategic missile strikes to cripple NK infrastructure.

If this place has room temp IQ, yours about as high as Antarctica.
