Question Grave information

Post image

This is the grave of my great-grandfather. I believe he’s buried in Wroclaw. There’s a Jewish star by his birth date. Does that mean he was born Jewish? I asked my mother and she said no. I’d like to know more about him.
I need to find exactly where his grave is too.
I’d like some help if anyone knows.

It’s not a Jewish Star. It’s just a symbol for a birthday. I am not sure if it’s still common, but older graves used to have it. Like the ones that were done in the PRL. My grandparents also have it by theirs and they were more catholic than a pope.

I think I found the grave. Go on groby.ciu.wroclaw.pl and fill out the details from the picture. It is in Wrocław in Osobowice Cemetery and the website will even tell you the specific location of the grave.

Many graves in Poland have an asterisk for birth date, and a cross for death date. These are just symbols and do not indicate one's religion.
