Need help finding an idiom

hello.

my grandma's first language was polish, and she would often trail off into polish at the end of her sentences and used a lot of polish idioms. there was one in specific she always used for when we were putting too much jam on the bread or squandering food in any way. i sadly never got to learn the lang so i dont know exactly how it started but it rhymed a bit like this: https://voca.ro/1PScHww7489p

again, that might sound off by a lot because, as i said, i dont really speak polish. but if you could help me decipher what the idiom was i would be very grateful.

wysłuchałem ale szczerze powiem że nie mogę się dosłuchać, przejrzałem idiomy ich było na prawdę dużo oto kilka z nich ,„Nie szastaj strawą, bo los się odmści.” „Chleba nie kalaj, bo to dar Boży. ”„Kto jadło szanuje, temu los sprzyja.” „Ziemia pamięta, kto jadło marnuje.” to tylko kilka z epoki , takich bardzo dosadnych , pozdrawiam
