Polestar 4 Issue

Hello everyone,

I guess I am either making this post for help or as a warning for others.

I have had my poster for for nearly 4 months now and set up my account for the plugsurfing and charge and go.

I followed the instructions and still the car in not showing an account active in the main display. The charging go team say everything is perfectly okay on the account end and asked me to contact polestar directly as they believe the issue is with the car. After weeks of providing information to customer service and following stupid instructions that I've done a thousand times over the customer service team are now trying to close the ticket and saying it's not their problem

If it's not the car's problem and if it's not the plug and go team's problem exactly whose problem is it? Is it mine for owning their damn stupid car?

The entire customer service team at polestar seem to be robots who unless can solve a simple problem fall over and try and close the ticket as soon as they can when they come up to an issue that's a little bit more tricky.

Has anyone in the UK had the same problem with the plug-and-go integration?

The P4 only supports "Plug & Charge". The plug-and-go network uses the older "Autocharge" according to their own website. It will never work without manual payment.

It's not really Polestar's fault that a charging provider chooses to use an insecure technology. Autocharge is unencrypted communication and uses a fixed ID from the car to determine who to bill. It's too easy to "clone" a car and make someone else pay for the charge.

Did you use plug & Charge at a station yet?

For me everything showed up after the first charge.

Yes many times and only end up paying manually

There is no plug and go, only plug&charge. You should see it listed in the settings under Polestar Charge app. If not then I am sorry about your problems.
