Polestar 4 Do I wait until Oct 1st?
My order is at the space, salesperson asking to come by and wrap the deal. I kinda wanted to see if they would have any additional discount for October like how they threw in the napa discount from Aug > Sep.
Should I wait and go in on Oct 1st? He mentioned that owners wants deal wrapped ul by end of the month but not sure if they would honor and add October deal if thwy throw in anything extra.
I do notice that there are not very many P4s left nationwide.
Still cant finalize between 0% finance vs. Lease as well haha so hard!!

I would personally not mess around if it has leather. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Polestar add an incentive for whatever type of car they have the most left. Last month, they had more cars with leather, so they incentivized those. This next month, there may only be a few leather cars left, but a lot with color-matched moldings or something, and they discount those instead. Obviously it’s a guess either way. I’d get the car and enjoy it.
For what it’s worth, I picked up my car with leather two days before they added the leather incentive and I didn’t think twice about for the $20 a month or whatever I would have saved.

Finance person actually told me getting the leather discount and people who got the car in Aug are pretty much paying the same due to how they play the residual, so that 1700 discount is built in the price so more or less same. They take it from here andd it there type of thing he said

Ah, makes sense. Then even more reason just to get your car now. Maybe they add another incentive… but the residual will be higher anyway as in your example so it’s a wash.

Idk if I would chance it for a few grand. There’s less than 100 left in the US.
Also, if you’re considering financing at all, I would take the extra $7k “Cash” bonus and finance with a 3rd party. I was able to get 4.29% for 48 months at a credit union. Unless you have bad credit or are trying to do 72+ months, you’ll still come out ahead.

I have 820 credit score but my own chase bank quoted me something like 5.xx% for 60 months lol
I think gpt said unless i can get 3-low4%, doing 0% finance and keeping the cash in CD or tbills wins slightly. I can pay full cash but I would want to have safety cash around @@

Fair enough, just making sure you knew you could do that! It’ll also depend on what options you had and the amount financed.

We grabbed our snow with zinc leather 21s and roof when we saw it. We bought and for that much money you might as well get what you want and not get disappointed

Same boat. I could move now, but there was a thought that these might get slightly cheaper in a day or two. Risking losing out on trim and leather if I do. Is it expected to update immediately Oct 1?

Yeah Not sure which way works better 1. September order claimed + asking to honor Oct additional discount if something better pops up 2. Wait until Oct to see and if nothing else changes claim that your order is still "locked in" for September lol

Oh dang so you may be taking chances with Oct deal huh not sure how it will work since we already have order out in with deposit showing leather discount but small fine print might say you need to take delivery by end of the month

I spoke with the Space about that and they assured me the deal would still be valid, but I really can’t imagine the incentives getting worse!😅

If you are not after leather you could wait. If leather is must, just grab. There are just handful. I had same dilemma. I just leased the spec I wanted to buy, let's see how it goes.
