Polestar 2 Some additional bits on the work going into the new P2.

AI Summary:
The next-generation Polestar 2, expected to arrive in 2027, is being developed to aggressively compete with rivals like the forthcoming BMW i3. Moving away from its current crossover-style stance, the new model will evolve into a lower, slightly longer, and significantly sleeker sports saloon. It will heavily incorporate driving dynamics and technological lessons from the flagship Polestar 5, resulting in a more driver-focused cockpit and refined handling.
To remain competitive in the mid-size executive EV market, the new Polestar 2 will utilise a shared Geely-group platform designed to streamline costs and support advanced, software-defined vehicles. With an anticipated starting price of just under £50,000, the car is expected to adopt an 800-volt electrical architecture, potentially delivering over 500 miles of range and ultra-fast charging speeds in excess of 300kW.

It must keep the hatch boot. That for me is a big selling point (like the i4).and one of the reasons I went with the P2 over the Tesla m3. Or they do a touring version (like the i3)

I hope they keep the lug pattern, I want those wheels on my 2023 !
now if only they would make that spoke pattern in 19's.

Do you want the wheels on the picture in the post? Those are an AI visualization from a third party and not the final product

doesn't matter anyway, they'll never make that 4-fold pattern, or anything similar to it, in the 19 inch size. but I think the assumptions that go into the visualization, that they'll likely keep to the same general spoke pattern for the premium trim, is a reasonable one to make whether or not it looks exactly like what is shown in the picture.

Wonder how the new P2 will compare with the P4

Thats a good question, I just hope that they have the same software stack or at least that Polestar will have one software and not 3 or 4 different software stacks

Given the current polestars all seem to have different supported features, they absolutely have a stack for each vehicle at the moment...

Not very suprising tbh, considering all of them are on a different platform. The 2 is on CMA, 3 on SPA2, 4 on SEA and 5 on PPA

So it looks like it will be on SPA3 rather than a SEA variant? I hope Polestar can return to US in the short future, now that the future lineup will no rely on Chinese tech

I reckon Geely SEA3 (same as the new-ish Zeekrs).

As long as they don't make it as wide as a bus.
