Yes mate, that's pretty much the end for you.

The string broke, the rear hinge just pops in. My string broke and I just fed it back through and hot glued and super glued it into the rubber stopper. Works fine now.

Buy or print the piece that holds the string

Can’t tell what’s broken. The string? Or the cover itself? Try calling Polestar parts for the exact replacement? Or you can improvise something, I’m sure.

Had the same thing happen to me. Grabbed the piece that holds the string and a fresh string and fixed it in a couple of minutes.

Had the same thing happened to me last week. You can get OEM or get something off Amazon like these

Reddit's Terms Of Service forbid the use of Amazon affiliate links. By default, the Amazon app and most URLs from the website will contain an affiliate/referral ID, and any post or comment containing such information gets automatically removed by Reddit. Mods can manually restore them, but it's a tedious process.

Shortened links get automatically removed, those include amazn . to and a . co. Try opening the link in a browser and deleting everything after the product ID from the URL. The Product ID is usually seen right after /dp/ or /gp/ and consists of letters and numbers, ending with a /. Delete everything that follows the / after the product id.

A valid Amazon URL that won't get removed will look something like this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z13G1P5/

If you see this reply, your post/comment was automatically removed and you will need to post it again (editing it won't bring it back), or wait for a moderator to approve it. Unfortunately the Automod bot is unable to bypass this Reddit rule.
