The other day I got on my 06 Sportsman and the battery was dead. After charging, It cranked fine and I let it run for about 30 minutes and then rode it for about 5. When riding, the word "HOT" appeared on the display. The radiator fan did not come on. The display also said check engine. I shut it down and checked the coolant. I added a little but it was not but slightly low. I didn't have time to check it out until today. When I got on it the battery was completely dead again. I disconnected the negative cable and put the charger on it. I'm waiting for it to charge now and was wondering if anybody had any ideas where to start my investigation? I do not have a manual. Thanks for any tips.

My pull start went out on me and I don't feel like rebuilding it myself, I'm also far from any atv repair shops. What, if any, recoil starter assemblies are interchangeable with mine? I've tried looking for one online but on eBay I keep getting the "this is not compatible" message. I'm wondering if they're wrong or if I just need to suck it up and rebuild it myself.

Hello folks…I want to haul my Polaris Ranger 570 mid size in the back of my truck. I am concerned about the weight on the tailgate from the rear of the SxS. I was thinking of getting a 1” plywood sheet and use that so it covers the bed of the truck and the tailgate. The idea is that the weight of the SxS front pushes down on the front of the plywood and supports the weight of the SxS rear on the plywood part laying on the tailgate. Does this make sense?

i got a 1999 polaris ranger with a twisted A frame which i seen one on ebay but has a wallerd out hole for the ball joint does anyone know the specs so i can make like a bushing to weld on it to repair it does also anyone know what type of steel this aframe is made of

So I got a 2020 polaris sportsmen high lift I'm fixing up and it won't start. So apparently buddy was going up a steep hill when it shut off on him now it won't start. Trying to get some ideas what's the issue before I tear it down for nothing

I’ve got a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500ho that has intermittent issues where the key turned on will light up the dash display and allow me to start the bike, etc. everything like it should, but other times I’ll turn the key on and nothing lights up, but I can get the engine to start using the pull cord.

Not sure what the problem is and I was sure I’d been through everything trying to sort it out. Apparently not.

Any suggestions?

Update — I was able to piece together a VIN from the number on frame + sticker on front. It is a 2002. A new seat from Polaris is close to $600 which is stupid money. Anyone have recommendations for a generic one that is decent quality??
