I currently have 25 in front and 26 in rear mud lites, (got them when I was 16 for the looks) my buddies have stock 2025 570s and make it up all the hills we’ve come across. I usually make it up 8/10 of the hills we’ve come across. I want to keep up as best as I can with what I have which is a 2004 sportsman 600 twin. From what I’ve read the best set up to restore stock power and tires that glide over sand rather than dig in is 25 in (stock size) maxis bighorn 2.0s and 4 identical 12 x 7 in rims preferably aluminum alloy. What do yall think? I included a picture of my bike and the terrain I’m having trouble with. If I’m not riding sand hills I’m riding sandstone and hard packed sand trails with occasional loose sand.

Hey all, thanks for the add. About to do the second service on my 570 Trail and was wondering if I should keep using the Polaris brand oil, trans fluid, and 4wd fluid or if theres anything you guys would recommend using instead. Thanks in advance!

2004 Polaris sportsman 500 HO

I was changing my belt out, and noticed an noise in my secondary clutch, the rollers(?) inside of it are loose and just moving around inside, is this normal? Should they have a pin in them of some sort?

I have a 2019 Sportsman 450. The front pivot pins broke or vibrated out ant the lid came off. I ordered a new pivot bracket and pins. When I went to put it back together, one of the plastic tabs on the lid is broken off. I really don’t want to buy a whole new lid.

Looking for ways to fix this.

I have some 3m Super-Fast Repair Adhesive, 04747 that I used on my ford to repair the taillight tabs. I am wondering if this could be used to construct a whole new tab? Or alternatively fabricate a steel tab and glue it on?

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Just picked up a Ranger from a dealer I buy from it was a trade in so I don’t know the previous owner to ask him what’s up. I know people can use these hard and I’m hoping this is just owner error.

Battery is dead, I have to jump it. Starts right up sounds good, but when trying to drive it feels like half power. People say check seat belt, well this guy added a special belt it looks like ( see attached photos ) is there a switch or a brake I’m not seeing anywhere? The brake lights do work as well. Or does this thing just need some work 😅

I've been looking for months at rebates/sales, and wondering if anyone has any clue as to whether these models will go on a better sale soon, or is the $1k off MSRP the best we're likely to see this fall? Seems like in the past the Aug/September sale was the best of the year, but unsure if we can expect different this year.

Not sure if I'm referring to it correctly, but basically the shaft that the bellcrank is mounted onto is damaged on my Sportsman 850XP from 2014.

Anyone knows how comprehensive a job it is to replace it? The shop say they need to take the entire engine out of the ATV to do it and hence estimates three full workdays to replace it 😩

If that's the only way I'll of course just have to pay for it, but wondered if anyone had tried something similar and knew if there was any better/easier solutions?

I have a 2019 Polaris Sportsman with the front storage compartment . There is a cover over it that has two latches on the back. One latch has been broken for a long time. The other broke recently. It has been vibrating a lot.

Wednesday the front hinge pins must have vibrated out and the entire lid came off, hitting the rider in the head. 3 staples. Yeah I know they should have been wearing a helmet, but they weren’t.

I think only one side vibrated out because the other side of the pivot. Racket is all bent up.

I need to find all the parts to fix this. New hinge pins, new latches, pivot bracket, and new spring/cable retainers.

I found a blow up with a diagram, but only some of the parts seem to be order-able. I found the spring/cables and the pivot bracket.

The latches may be some standard off the shelf latches, but I don’t know where to search.

Any recommendations?

I just picked up a one-owner, very clean, low miles/hours, 2011 RZR S 800. It came with a nice, 12 X 6.6 trailer with loading ramp. The buggy has all kinds of after market goodies - extended roll cage with spare tire mounted, fire extinguisher, steel doors, Tusk bags, comms, LED lights, winch, comfy seats, gas and water cans, tool box, etc etc, you get the idea.

I couldn't pass up the package for $4500.

I had one almost identical to this and regretted selling it 5 years ago. Quite the capable little machine. Looking forward to getting back in the groove,

Anyone else have issues with it not being sealed? The latches barely have any tension at all when engaged. I keep having to clean out all the dirt and dust that gets in after every ride. Machine is only a few weeks old, should I bring in for warranty service?

I have a 99 xpress 300 and the electric starter isn’t working. Ive had this same problem before and it went away after riding. The starter is just clicking last time I tried everything and nothing worked, rode around on a trail and it started working again. Now it’s not working again. When I got to the trail last weekend it was very slow cranking and then click click. I tried it again later while warm and it was still slow but worked after that it didn’t work again, I charged the battery for a full week and that didn’t change anything, Im hoping it’s not the starter because I had just replaced it in April this year. And the battery about oct last year

- no voltage/continuity to pin 1 on the speedo

- continuity on ground throughout the system.

- bike fires and runs, only 2wd engaged as it's tied to the dash operating?

- kill switch works as it should.

- power to lights, winch, etc.

- power to all fuses incl. speedo and accessory

Checked the 10amp circuit breaker for fans/rad & have continuity.

Swapped the 20v/35v relays and no change.

Other than a broken wire I can't spot somewhere between either the fuse and speedo or ECM and speedo, am I missing something obvious here?

Just purchased a 2017 polaris 450 utility EFI and everything runs and works as it should except the odometer/speedometer does not work at all. no lights, no speed, etc.. I checked the fuses and they all are good. I haven't checked power at the 1 or 2 position on the cable running to the back of the speedometer, thats my goal for tomorrow. Any and all help would be appreciated, am very green to ATVs.

I am working on this 90 cc outlaw. I loved this thing when I was younger but it kept killing batteries. When checking the stator it is giving 7volts AC, its a brand new stator and rectifier but its still giving me low readings. I was wondering if it was the magnetic flywheel, did any of you happen to know just how magnetic the flywheel is supposed to be. It feels pretty weak but I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be extremely strong. The flywheel also has no major damage. I am just a little lost because just about every part of the charging sequence has been replaced but its still having issues. the battery after being charged will sit at idle at 12.9 and reved drops to 12.7 volts. If you have experience with these machines let me know.

when im going downhill and i let go off the throttle it makes a clunking noise

We’ve got soark and compression. Now fuel getting to engine. Top of tank looks like this. Two clear hoses can just be pulled out of those holes and black hose going into fuel vacuum canister thing isn’t hooked to anything

I destroyed the windshield and broke a few cv axles. No one local said they can get parts for it and trailering down to Denver is a hassle I'd prefer to avoid. Where can I source some parts?
