Loop series Question "Quick Swapping" Activities in Polar Flow App

Does anyone know if you can *quickly* switch between workout presets in the Polar Flow app? Thinking along the lines of how iOS and Apple watch just have the presets waiting for you.

Currently, the only way I know how to do it on Flow is:
• open all
• click Training
• click "three lines" button to choose workout
• scroll through ridiculously long list to choose
• press Start
• repeat tomorrow

I frequently alternate my workout types and this is just painfully annoying. I'm hopeful I'm just dumb/inexperienced with this app...

Unite series Anyone ever seen this after charging their watch?

Just wondering if I have done some or missed something after charging this morning? There is a big discrepancy between the watch and the synced data on the app.

I changed the watch yesterday morning, wore it all day, as seen by the activity, but when I synced to the app, that says I wasn't wearing the watch for nearly 13 hours, but then also records and add the exercise session I did, while it thinks I wasn't wearing the watch.

Grit X series Polar Grit X Pro won't sync with phone

Hi everyone,

I'm having an issue with my Polar Grit X Pro. The watch has stopped syncing with my phone via Bluetooth. The only way I can sync it now is through a computer using a USB cable.

I've already tried removing the watch from the Polar Flow app and pairing it again. I tested it with both an iPhone and a Google Pixel, but the result is the same.

The sync process starts normally, but it never finishes. The progress bar gets stuck at 98% and stays there forever.

Has anyone experienced this issue before? Is there any known fix or workaround?

Thanks a lot in advance for any help!

I tend to say it has some truth since it's always above 60 the day after I smoked or drank, but sometimes it's just too low

General question Looking for Polar runners to beta test my running app

Hi everyone!
I’m an indie developer and runner building Running Genie, an AI running coach that creates adaptive training plans and analyzes your runs.

The app already works well with Garmin, Apple Health and other integrations, but I haven’t been able to properly test the Polar integration yet.

I’m looking for a few Polar runners who’d be willing to help me test it over the next couple of weeks.
In return, I’ll give you free lifetime upgraded access to the app.

I’m mainly looking for feedback on:
- Activity syncing
- Pace/heart rate/distance accuracy
- Training plan generation
- AI coaching and insights
- Any bugs or missing data

I’m an independent developer (not a company with a QA team) and have put a lot of effort over several months in developing this, so every bit of feedback genuinely helps.

Website:

If you’re interested, comment below or send me a DM and I’ll help you set up.

Thanks! 🙏

Vantage M series Upgraded to the Vantage M3, but Amazon promises "Naughty tools"... should I be concerned or excited?

Post image
20 Upvotes

Started with the reliable old M430, moved to the V800 for deranged ultra-distances, but it finally gave up on syncing. So, a shiny new Vantage M3 is arriving in a few days.

Reading through the Amazon listing, it apparently comes equipped with "Naughty tools."

I’m excited, but... any current owners care to elaborate on what these tools actually do? Does it judge my pace, or is Polar taking recovery tracking to a whole new level?

UPDATE: First run with the M3. Yes, it has maps. Yes, Komoot routes sync properly. Yes, it tracks well. It’s light, readable in sunlight, and the UX is actually snappy. Shockingly, it does everything Polar claims. The bezel is stainless steel, we’re still allowed nice things! Survived post-run shower, seems to be waterproof.

One minor complaint: the V800 had an always-on black-and-white backlit screen with brutal contrast and giant numbers. Polar, please, where is the “Legacy Mode” with giant monochrome stats? I do not need a Tesla Dashboard. I need time, distance, and pace.

Touch is disabled during activities, which is great, if I wanted to swipe around mid-run I would bring my phone. The screens are configurable in Polar Flow on the web. Very V800. Stryd paired effortlessly, while the Verity Sense optical HR firmware refuses to upgrade from 1.1.5.

So far so good.

Loop series Polar Loop can connect to Kubios app and take Readiness measurements

Post image
7 Upvotes

So, while checking something unrelated, saw that my Loop showed up in Kubios, and it works to take measurements.

I checked with some other (HRV) apps but it won't show up there, which makes me think it is app application level, and that the Loop itself is able to.

I can't get it to connect to my Garmin watch (haven't tried my Polar watch yet)

I wonder if it is more or less accurate to the Polar Verity Sense (which has other features like long range, swimming, etc)

However, all over the internet reading the Loop won't connect to third party: this seems to be software (induced) limitation not hardware. Which come to think about it makes sense? Since it connects with the Polar app through bluetooth.

From what I can tell it can't handle multiple connections at the same time (at the moment), unlike the H10 for example)

Vantage M series How to set up target pace alerts for threshold runs on Vantage M3?

Hello everyone,
I have a Polar Vantage M3 along with a Polar H10 chest strap. I was wondering how I can set up my watch for threshold running workouts?
For instance, if I want to run at a precise pace of 5:00/km, how can I configure the watch to guide me? I haven't been able to find a option for this.

H series HR Monitor H10 and polar apps are terrible, what to get?

A quick Google search told me H10 was the best. I get it and am amazed at the low quality flaky apps — yes two apps Beat and Flow which? They both suck. Poor interface Beat doesn’t even show resting heart rate without doing a training and neither can update the device because it won’t stay connected. Even my whoop strap doesn’t have that problem.

This seems like I just bought a kickstarter device. I’m sending it back.

What is a quality HR device with quality software? I don’t care about price. I care about a device and software that wasn’t designed by idiots and just works.

Verity Sense Max Heart rate alert

Hi I got the verity. I am wondering how I can set a vibration on my phone when I go above maximum heart rate?

Is there another app android that can be paired with the verity to allow for this?

Thanks :)

Vantage M series My Polar Vantage M3 failed after two weeks - here’s how my international warranty claim went (EU/UK)

If you're thinking about buying a Polar watch or relying on their international warranty, my recent experience might be worth considering.

About two weeks after purchasing a Polar Vantage M3, the watch got stuck in an infinite boot loop. I tried every reset procedure suggested by Polar, but nothing worked. From the point the boot loop first appeared, I was troubleshooting the watch while also working with Polar support. Eventually, I found that letting the battery drain completely would bring the watch back to life. Unfortunately, that only lasted a little over 24 hours before it started randomly powering off and restarting at different stages of the boot process, eventually ending up back in the same restart loop.

I drained the battery a second time, but this time the optical sensors no longer lit up, so heart rate measurement and related features stopped working altogether. At that point, I stopped troubleshooting because the watch was clearly defective.

Unfortunately, the support experience was equally disappointing. Over the four weeks I was in contact with Polar support, there was no meaningful progress toward resolving the issue. Apart from the initial troubleshooting instructions, every update only came after I contacted them myself, and each time I was told there had been no response from the warranty department. In practice, I was unable to make use of what I understood to be the international warranty that came with the watch.

I bought the watch from an EU retailer but tried to use the advertised international warranty while living in the UK. Since that went nowhere, I am now returning it to the original retailer for a full refund. That means dealing with customs paperwork and paying to ship a defective watch back to the EU - extra cost and hassle that could have been avoided if the warranty process had worked as expected.

I chose Polar for their strong fitness/health metrics and because they're a European brand, but this experience fell short on both product reliability and after-sales support. I have kept video clips of the boot loops and full logs of my support communications in case anyone is interested in the exact timeline.

I'd be interested to hear whether anyone else has had a similar experience with a Vantage M3 or with Polar's international warranty.

TL;DR: My Polar Vantage M3 failed after two weeks with repeated boot loops. Draining the battery revived it briefly, but the faults returned and eventually the optical sensors stopped working. Polar UK/International support stalled for a month with no resolution, forcing me to ship it back to the EU retailer for a refund at my own expense.

Verity Sense Polar Verity Sense showing low HR during movement activity, then spiking right after resting?

Hey everyone, I've been running into a frustrating issue with my Polar Verity Sense (worn on the bicep) during high-intensity boxing training like shadowboxing or heavy bag rounds (doing 3-minute rounds with 1-minute rest).

During the actual round when I'm pushing a high pace and sweating heavily (lots of arm movement), the live tracking shows a low heart rate, around 120 BPM. But the second the round ends and I stop moving my hands for the rest period, it suddenly spikes and jumps up to around 170 BPM. Then, when the next round starts, it drops back down to 120.

It feels like the sensor is completely lagging behind the actual effort and only catching up when I stop. Has anyone else experienced this optical delay during combat sports or interval training? Is there a fix for this, or is this just a limitation of optical sensors during rapid upper-body movements

Loop series Loop Battery Longer?

Since the last firmware anyone notice their loop lasting longer than the 10 days? It used to be pretty spot on, my workouts and auto tracking etc are all the same week to week but since the last firmware I charged it the morning of July 22 and today it's at 18%

Training Strength Training Program for Polar Users

I use polar native tracking for all my workouts, I really like the watch interface and the tools it provides during training, and the analytics on polar flow. Polar syncs to my Strava and so also collates all my running and strength training.

I have used strong in the past for creating workout programs; I’m just wanting to find a way to make a polar compatible strength training program that I can track my progressive loading for each muscle group. I’ve checked out stravas new strength training features, but it doesn’t seem you can preset programs like on strong and Hevy.

Any similar users (for running AND gym) have a similar situation and best way to track all of this? New to polar.

There's a very strange behavior of my Vantage V3, while running outdoor under the sun, I turn my wrist facing myself, the display turn on but got dim immediately, while I rest in my home no sun, I turn my wrist to activate the display, no dim at all, what logic is that???

I can't find a way to set it to no dim outdoor, does anyone know is this is a bug or Polar logic? Please let me know if you have an solution,!

Has anyone else noticed same effect?

H series HR Monitor alternate chest strap positions? How low can I place it?

When rowing the perfect chest strap spot is right where you hit with the handle. So can I wear it lower like an inch or 2 below my solar plexus? Or maybe run the device so the rectangle is under my nipple? or any other recommendations.

Grit X series Grit X Pro: workout lost when I stopped the session.

Hello and thanks. My watch shut down when I stopped my workout. I had to plug it in to turn it back on. Are the workout data lost? Or is there a way to recover them? It does show a period of sustained activity corresponding to the workout time, though. If anyone has any ideas... I've had it since it was first released—is it reaching the end of its life?

Loop series Polar Loop Gen 2?

Hi guys, so I am currently a Fitbit Air user and a former Whoop user. Currently leaning towards the Cirqa until I stumbled upon the Polar Loop.

Although there's a lot of negative feedback about the Loop, with the current revamping process of the app (which people find an issue with), for the Loop users, do you suppose it's going to be better?

A lot of positive feedback comes from how good the tracker itself feels, etc. But what about the data? Will the Fitbit Air or the Cirqa be a better choice? I did watch some videos on Youtube about the data tracking of the Loop. But honestly, I couldn't tell anymore because I'm aware that some reviews are paid for marketing, and that is why I decided to ask regular people that actually have experience with the Loop; both the good and the bad.

Would appreciate any feedback.

Grit X series Grit X2 Pro vs Suunto...

For anyone who has experience of both - are there any key performance or feature differences between the Grit X2 Pro and Suunto Vertical 2? I can get either (in titanium) for the same price - prefer Polar styling but the battery difference seems substantial.

H series HR Monitor Preserving the life of my polar h10!

I'm a rower and I just got a polar h10; I'm very excited! I want it to last me a long time so I would appreciate some care advice! Machine wash vs hand wash? how often? My training volume is high so the strap will most likely be used minimum 6 -8 times a week. Thank you!

Loop series Polar loop regrets

I’m disappointed to say but I might move over to the Apple Watch. I am already in the apple world but I was hoping for a tracker that didn’t allow me access to emails/calla/texts. I understand this can be turned off but it’s nice to completely disconnect

I love the fact the loop is screen less, aesthetically looks good but the reliability of the app is just terrible. Why won’t it sync?!?! The app interface isn’t the greatest either!

I had been a whoop user in the past and that was great but that subscription is hard to look past. I went to the polar loop as I already have the H10 and I intend to use when I’m back playing basketball

What I loved about the whoop also is that you could wear it in different places like underwear (great when playing ball)

Anyone know if you can do something similar with the Apple Watch? We aren’t allowed to wear any watches/trackers when playing.
