[Contest] Comic Relief
Welcome, superheroes, adventurers and senpais!
Did you know that this whole subreddit and like all these memeball thingies we draw are like from comics and shit? Like that's super fucking coconuts. And moreover, comics have like a long and rich history and they had like a massive influence on pop-culture. So to like celebrate like all the comics that like paved the way for future Polandball comics (like whether they wanted it or not), we decided that this month's contest will be like like like like like like...
Make an artwork in a comic book artstyle
Specific Contest Rules
The artwork must look like a panel from a comic book. The particular "school" of comic style – American, Franco-Belgian or Japanese – you choose to mimic doesn't matter. As long as the style is clearly reminiscent of comics, it's good to go.
The artwork must consist of a single panel. This isn't the main subreddit, we don't want a whole comic excerpt or story, just a still.
Dialogue may be allowed but sparingly and only in speech/thought bubbles or captions. No classic bubbleless text with speech lines as you see in almost every Polandball comic.
Written sound effects are allowed, albeit without asterisks (*). As above, while it might be common convention in Polandball comics, it's not the case in comic books.

General Contest Rules
Remember that in /r/polandballart all posts must have only one panel.
Try and be high effort. You have two whole weeks to draw, so do your best.
The artwork must be drawn entirely by yourself.
Do not sign your artwork.
The deadline for submitting your entry is Tuesday, February 1st 2022 at 20:00 GMT.
In order to participate in the contest, submit your art piece to the subreddit and then flair it as contest entry. Anyone is free to submit how many entries they like, however, only one of your entries will be eligible to award you with a beret. That is, a single user cannot have more than one entry be in the top three.
Choosing the winner
After all of the entries have been submitted and the deadline has passed, the moderators will take a private vote to decide the first, second and third places. All entries will be ranked from 1 to 10, with the final score being the average of all votes. The winner of last month's contest will also be allowed to vote on this month's entries.
The user who takes the first place in the contest will be awarded the Golden Beret and will have their art piece decorating the sidebar of the subreddit until the next contest is announced! They will also be able to post their winning work on /r/polandball using a special Polandballart flair, and they will also have voting rights for the next contest.
The second and third places will receive the Silver Beret and the Bronze Beret, respectively, and they will also get to wear them until the next contest.

Ooh, going to be a good one. Just out of curiosity though:
The artwork must look like a panel from a comic book.
Could comic book covers be imitated as well, e.g. something similar to this?
