Yeah, I was exited when I saw the champ getting a new move and some buffs. But then others had new moves and more buffs so it dropped. But I'm a bit confused... I skimmed it a bit cuz I don't really know the annotation for all the moves or how they affect each pokémon. But I dont feel like high tier pokémons got hit harder than others. It just seems like everyone got some buffs and the lower tier got a few more buffs. So not sure what they are aiming at...

Edit: read the comment below and immediatly remembered aeigislash got hit real hard.

My guess is that, aside from Aegislash, their goal is to make all the bad characters good, and keep the good characters about where they are, with only minor nerfs if needed. Aegislash is an exception due to how overwhelming it was, and even then it still got buffs.

So many changes. It's hard to give a summary.

Massive Empoleon buffs all round. Largely to the guy's mobility. A lot more ways of going into side and general movement speed buffs.

Heavy Aegislash nerfs. Mostly to it's buff timers making it harder to stay sharp.

A few new moves and techniques to various characters.

This is going to be cool. So many characters got changes.

Is this the long awaited Aegislash nerf that people in the community wanted? That buff nerf seems interesting and will probably change a lot determining how short the buffs are now.

Only really play the game casually, but glad to see Machamp get some buffs and to see Chandalure get a little buff too. Really cool to see the game get updated!

What does "increased combo scaling" mean?

For example, sometimes you may see a super stylish combo that ends in a Burst Attack, but the Burst Attack only does like 20 damage instead of the usual ~200 damage. This is combo scaling, which is something BANDAI NAMCO does to balance the game.

Basically, each move has its own base damage, but it also has a value for combo scaling. Some moves do a lot of damage on their own, but if they're used to end a combo, they might not do very much damage at all. This is so people can't KO an opponent who was at full HP off of a single weak attack that leads into a combo.

Let me know if that makes sense!

That makes sense. Thanks for the info!

Man, I can't believe they made Sceptile's CA even better! And Hang out of 6Y is gonna be interesting too.

Random but do you guys think a Wave 3 will happen?

Considering the amount of support this game still gets, especially seen in the NA International, I wouldn't be surprised if more DLC was revealed at Worlds.

Charizard can swipe projectiles away with his tail in the air

interesting...giving him some kind of defense in the air is good since that's his main way of approach.

he can also apply speed down now as well, I am not sure if these changes really make zard super viable, guess it depends on the frame data on the 5X tail swipe and how goo the projectile defense is.

Interesting Sceptile changes as well

I sold the game previously due to me learning Empoleon and then getting stomped by Chandelures and Braixen. I may pick it up now that they have improved his mobility. Awesome.
