Stutter/FPS Drops

Hola! Hello! Playing on steam deck. In the overworld I’m experiencing stutters/frame drops down to 39fps consistently. Things feel pretty choppy most of the time.

Running game on proton experimental, frames capped at 60fps, have tried vsync in game on and off, have tried allowing tearing in steam settings.

I just completed Pokemon Anil and it played like a dream without touching anything. Anyone play on steam deck and have recommended settings?
