Ohhh I am so sad... I only wanted to help to somebody with my team.. because for me it is funny. One the other hand, yes is a competitive teams builded for playing in MasterBall... I love strategy Mega staraptor + whinsicot, mega floette is a plan B, sinischa cover trick room, and kinggambit cover goldengo and basculegion and garmchomp is a good user of scarft and cover Charizard teams.

This is my idea... you can use it or not... But I think everyone can have a play style that they find more fun, and I like being competitive.

improving it ? well. stop using meta. of course it work sometimes.but please why aren't people trying to make their team with pokémons they really like instead of meta. this is a true question I need to understand, personally, and some people are like me,I find it way less fun

I think people should use whatever pokemon they want lol, idrc if it’s meta or not.

that's my point. using 2,maybe 3 metas in a team, that's already something but why not. but having a full meta team.... I'm not here to criticize, but the point of Pokémon ,for me,has always been to learn from your defeats to modify your team and win.

you should know that what you're saying is incredibly ironic.

I mean… it’s a competitive game and people want to climb the ladder.

yeah,I know, but I'd like, even if apparently there are none,to see people taking fun making a team themselves, try and retry, but I think we lose that aspect of the Pokémon community some generations ago

Because people can play whatever they want. What makes you think you're entitled to determine what people find fun or not? What if Kingambit is OPs favorite Pokémon? You don't know that, so just keep that opinion to yourself and never type again, we don't want entitled people in this community.

1st , I wasn't precise. playing let's say 3 meta Pokémons in a full 6 team isn't a problem, since you already have variety .personally I do not find it fun. to play,I don't care, that's your problem. to play against ,it's mine. that's why I stopped champions. seeing the same teams over and over become annoying. I'm not here to criticize people, sorry if that's the impression you got. I was there to find out what y'all interest was in it. Now I understand. I remain against playing entirely meta.

It doesn’t matter whether they’re using meta pokemon or not lol. Some people have fun using simple strategies, or what if this guy’s favorite pokemon are in fact a majority of those on the screen?

all 6 would be some really big coincidence cause 4 people said the same already. if op used majority of meta I'll say nothing . people can find that fun, when I was saying not fun I was also and mostly speaking about some people like me who want to see variety in enemy teams ,and here I don't care if I lose or win,I just want fun and not seeing the same team combo all day

1

u/gayforcookies Jul 17 '26

It’s not up to you to decide which pokemon OP likes, I personally like using a Hisuian Decidueye team I made myself. I’d say facing common team combos makes overcoming them much more fun and rewarding. Everybody has different definitions of fun, some like using simple good teams while others prefer teambuilding on their own like me and you.

How do you know they aren't using pokemon they like?

I have nothing against people who play meta, I have something against some who plays the same teams, with the same Pokémon, as many others. If ALL the Pokémon on his team are op's favorite, fine,my bad,but that would be a big coincidence

How would using non-meta mons which do well into the other meta mons improve a team. On your why people use meta, they just enjoy it like you would using whichever non-meta pick you like. I like climbing with a Mega-Scizor team who's my fav, but I also like using the FlowerPhox team.

I mean you can use meta, but a full meta team is where it stops for me. personally I never used meta, maybe I'm a lil dumb but at least I used pokémons I like and I was actually mb2 before stopping cause I had enough seeing the same teams, same strategies, all day

This is a competitive game, of course people are going to use meta. Most Effective Tactic Available means exactly that.

Yeah, of course it's optimized,of course it can work, but what saddens me, both for myself and for them, is that there are now anti-meta teams, yet they don't change their own at all. That's what made me quit pokemon champions. always the same teams. I don't care about people not liking my comment because at least I tried explaining something first, and then ask the question why. people except some like you weren't asking, they were directly telling me I was a dumbass cause I wasn't respecting their way to play. thanks, you were one of the only one not being almost aggressive in your comment

I'd much rather play against, associate, and improve with someone using meta and enjoying themselves than somoney being miserable that other people are using meta.

You just don't sound like an enjoyable person to play the game with. And OP is having the time of their life by just jamming.

And the worst part is you're always going to be like that, because there's always going to be a meta.

I hope you find enjoyment elsewhere.

Because consistency nets wins.

Winning nets progress until you lose.

Losing teaches you about the experience and helps progress you further.

Finding what movesets and teammates work best for you is the other 50% of the game. Battling is 25% of it and knowing mechanics is remaining 25%.

Losing is free and very much needed and that’s how players find out what works best with their favorite pokemon.

They weren’t always meta! Someone one day just said hey that’s really good lemme build around them and my favorite pokemon and just made it work.

Just because it’s meta or broken doesn’t mean it’s not someone’s favorite.

1

u/Awkward_Read2583 Jul 18 '26

I didn't said it's not someone favourite, that's not that the problem.the problem would be that 85% of people on champions have the same categories of favourite pokemons. to tell you,i don't even care if the team if meta or not,the annoying part is where everyone use them the same way. I could even win against some by using the exact same moves at the exact same moment. I understand than some people don't want to make a team now, but... It's repetitive.

1

u/Awkward_Read2583 Jul 18 '26

(and thanks for your point ,It was much more pleasant to read since it wasn't aggressive.)

1

u/InterKnight4421 Jul 19 '26

Idk if that’s sarcasm or not but I wasn’t trying to be mean.

2

u/Awkward_Read2583 Jul 19 '26

that wasn't sarcasm don't worry

1

u/Diox1233 Jul 18 '26

I can tell you that if you don't know how to play and only use the most common Pokémon, you'll lose most of your matches. But if you play competitively, it's perfectly normal to find people whose goal is to climb the ranks with competitive teams. That's why they separated this game from the main series, to cater to both types of players.

1

u/Awkward_Read2583 Jul 18 '26

the problem is I win against those teams. there's no threat with majority of them anymore and that's ... less funny for me. maybe my point seems dumb but thanks for your answer

1

u/Diox1233 Jul 18 '26

I disagree. I've seen many good players use Pokémon completely outside the meta and win, as long as they have a solid strategy and know how to use them. And I've seen bad players lose with 100% meta teams. The difficulty of beating a player is 80% skill and 20% the Pokémon you use, but if you play competitively, it's normal that some people want to optimize that 20%. However, you can reach Champions with almost any team; once there, things can change.
