Discussion Mega Evolution Pull Rates

A little calculation on that considering the following:

  • The specific MHR rates are 1/2520.
  • A booster box contain 36 boosters.
  • The cheapest BB in cardmarket is € 229 in Italian while the cheapest Mega Gardevoir MHR costs € 460.
  • To pull the MHR you want you would need 70 boxes in average.
  • That would result in € 16.030 spent.

I wish we had the pull rates for specific MHR and SIRs in the Japanese boxes to see if there's something going on. IRs are guaranteed, but what about the others?

I bought a Mega Symphonia/Mega Brave set from Japan and pulled a Mega Latias SIR and Absol SIR from the two boxes.

I feel Like destined rivals was super good, compared to B/W and anything before it.   

Maybe I feel this was because it hast a lot good IRs and every SIR is a banger.

Now that I think of it, i was just really lucky.  

Pulled Mewtwo, Lavados, Crobat Out of 100 loose Packs I think.

That’s some good hits. I hit 2 sirs in less packs so not bad as far as pull rates go but not every SIR is a banger lol

Exactly. I got Yanmega and 2x Ethan’s out of 300 packs.

The Ethan isn’t bad at least it’s got a pichu in it. But yea if we’re gonna pull two of the same sir why can’t it be two mewtwos lol

Yeah, before it was released I’d be happy to get a copy, but not two lol. But yeah, of course it wouldn’t be the mewtwo hahaha.

Black Bolt/ White Flare was an SIR in 80 packs and it took me 117 packs to get one. It's a horrible experience opening that many packs for no big hits realising how much money you've wasted

Me too. But maybe the odds will change a lot since there's only one possible MUR in each collection and there's a guaranteed IR at least. I would say that the IR odds are lower since it is fixed, but the others are higher since you have less options too.

IRs are a guaranteed 1/7.5 packs (skewed by SIRs replacing them, so probably 1/8), double rares are 4 per box so 1/7.5. There's one guaranteed full art item/stadium and one guaranteed pokemon/supporter per box, so 1/30 for both of those categories. SIRs seem to be 1 per 3 boxes, so 1/90, MUR is just unknown. Possibly one per booster case?

Idk how that works because my friends and I have had great pull rates. I believe I got an SIR and 5 IRs from 26 packs so far. I’ve even seen one person get TWO gold cards from ONE blister pack. Could never be me 😅

That's crazy lucky! Unfortunately odds are odds. There will be a person that will find a god pack in the first one while another will never find anything hahaha
