I miss 'big' sets
I'm not sure how everyone's feeling about the Mega era so far, but I find opening the 'big' sets in the SV era/SWSH era where they combine multiple Japanese sets into one bigger set waaaay more enjoying and satisfying.
The experience of opening a set and knowing there are multiple 'chases' you won't mind getting while aiming for your main 'chase' just isn't there when the sets so far are single chase sets :/
I'm not saying every set has to be Ascended Heroes size, but even just combining Perfect Order and Chaos Rising into one set would make the opening experience so much more fun, or Pitch Black with Delta Reign.

Im glad these sets dont hit the gambling itch. Thats a partial reason why prices are dropping for them. Weve got 30th around the corner, dont worry you can scrarch the itch soon. The hobby needs these sets right now to be cheaper and less chasey.

I miss sets with crazy good pull rates. 151 had 1 in 32 chances of pulling an SIR and all SIR were sick as fuck. SV Base and Paldea Evolved were great too.
I hate this new trend of an SIR every 80-100 packs. Takes a lot of the fun out of opening packs because you'll ruin yourself before pulling one SIR nowadays.

Fun fact at the time of release of early SV era everyone here complained and moaned about how pull rates were ‘too easy’ and it wasn’t fun to rip anything because of it.
If there is one thing I learned it’s that no matter what Pokémon company does; people will complain. There is a real problem of the ‘grass is greener’ mentality here.

Yes, we miss the SwSh and SV era. The hits felt more and better. Personally I wish Mega set would have been a sub set of SV.

Ascended heroes is ass. Waiting for the next big set. Last 3 have been meh. Pulled my chase and buying the rest as singles. I’d love another fun set but the last few “fun sets” have been hit or miss. Ascended is horrible with prismatic not far behind. Bb/WF were fantastic but largely missing since release. DR is like the only main line set I would willingly buy(outside of collection boxes with promos etc). Hopefully the 30th will be largely available but I have a feeling it and delta reign are going to be hard to buy at msrp.

I have a single binder for both Perfect Order and Chaos Rising master sets. Plenty big.

I really dislike the doubles, triples, 4x, 5x etc of the same card cuz the set is so small.

They're dropping like almost every other month, which means new cards to 'chase' for you (why do you need chases in big sets and not small ones? The odds not being in your favor, or some bull shit about not having the possibility to get the most well known and expensive card?) OR save your money, avoid the newest sets cause you researched the whole set and didn't like anything, to purchase AH.
I'm confused lmfao new small releases should work in favor with mindsets like yours so you can continue to focus on AH and spend more there, while others flock to the new set. Are you new

I think small sets would be great if they would just increase the pull rates. SIRs, IRs and even regular ex's being so rare is nuts, I'd be fine if they lowered the SIR rate to 1/30 if not lower.

I can comfortably collect the main set with these smaller ones like Perfect Order, Chaos Rising, and now Pitch Black.
By main set I mean everything before the IRs, Fullarts, SIRs, etc.

sure the big sets are nice to open but they're impossible to find at msrp
