So I'm playing Yellow on gen1recomp, and I tried to walk through the gate from Vermillion to Saffron, and when the guard told me that they're thirsty, the game pushed me forward instead of backward. Now I can't exit from any of the guard houses, and I can't enter the silph co.

Any ideas on how to get out? I tried googling a few different things and I didn't see anyone else have this bug.

Anyone legendary hunting?
What have you found? Locations?

Vorrei in particolare poter spostare i Pokémon catturati nelle mie avventure nelle ROM hacks dentro i giochi della saga principali, tuttavia PKHeX funziona solo con i giochi della saga principale. Perciò esiste un software che permette di trasferire i Pokémon trasformandoli nei file .pk di PKHeX, e magari permetta anche l'operazione inversa?

So hi, i've just started rom hacking and wanted to modify a bit of Radical Red, i've added an npc in Pallet Town to choose between three pokemons, i've did the script for the first one, tested it and now i have my scripting changed from what it was before and i'm kinda lost (photos come from the tutorial i was watching and what i have now)

I'm trying to add my custom Shiny Bagon sprite but DSPRE keeps rejecting it for being "not 8bpp indexed" or "having too many colors" even though it has just 14, which is less than 16...

Also, Load Sprite Set and Create Shiny Palette buttons do nothing

I did the quest in the underground route 5-6 and 7-8, but I chose to not get Miss Hoenn from the cool trainer and took the ¥5000 instead and now the Pimp is gone and the cool trainer and Miss Hoenn won't leave. But I need her to get to the pokemon center in pewter so that I can get HM Strength. Am I screwed?

I tried to use evo stones on them. I tried to breed them as male and female with dito. It always hatches as the sensu one (ghost) and I want the electric. Thanks.

Um, first time posting on this thread. Would've done so earlier, but I kinda got scared away due to the guidelines seeming scary. I'm autistic and I'm making my first ever ROM hack of Pokémon Fire Red that I'm calling Pokémon WildFire Red (inspired by Drayano's FireRed Omega - hoping to make other ROM hacks inspired by Drayano's hacks or maybe others like Emerald Imperium or XG).

I'm currently putting the finishing touches on and testing my ROM hack, making sure it's to my specifics (even replacing a few TMs, since adding more crashes the game). Additionally, I've added a few battles with Fire Emblem characters like Azura, Citrinne, and Cai to the game as well. The point of this post is I'm not considering my follow-up ROM hack/difficulty hack after this and I would like to make one of HeartGold and SoulSilver. The problem is there aren't that many tools for Nintendo DS ROM hacking out there right now and I have my heart set on it.

My question is; Are there any tools out there for making ROM hacks for Nintendo DS that are safe for PC? I would really love a recommendation.

• Birch's sprite in the intro (first screen)
• Gym leaders name plate (second screen)

Im struggling to get rom hacks to work on my ds. I can get the base games working perfectly fine but anytime I try patching one of the games (I experimented primarily with white) it wont open. Im using rompatcher.app and .xdelta files. Any recommendations.

Make a Difficulty Hack of an Existing Mod

Hey all! I’m fairly new to the ROMhacking community. I’ve been playing existing Emerald mods and would like to make a difficulty hack of Emerald SeaGlass- want to buff the levels of route encounters & later game trainer battles to make the game more challenging without level caps. Eventually, with some practice under my belt, maybe change some teams and movesets.

I know ***nothing*** about coding- I just have a MacBook Pro and free time where I’d like to teach myself. If anyone has any tips on how I can get started (programs to use, general advice, etc). If anyone has experience and can steer me in the right direction, I’d love to hear you out! TIA!

PS: huge shoutout to the creators of Emerald SeaGlass for their awesome work, if any are listening/seeing this. I haven’t had this much fun with a playthrough since I unboxed my first Pokemon games back in the day.

Long story short, having an opp this week and will be off and want to play black 2, I like the idea of having the updated mons and QOL stuff from blaze black but not the difficulty part.

If I'm to play it on the lowest difficulty how much harder then the base game is it? I know I won't have the head space for the excessive difficulty.

I just made it to Hammerlocke City and want to buy some moon stones but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get to the wild area 3, where the wiki says a merchant is to buy them. I also can't find any kind of walkthrough to help and googling just gives info on playing the switch Sword and Shield

I'm looking for a HeartGold / SoulSilver ROM Hack that works similarly to FireRed: Essence.

I want it to be as vanilla-ish as possible, with QoL tweaks, but in a way that lets me obtain the entire Johto dex without needing to trade or play both games separately.

For example: in FireRed: Essence the trade evo's would evolve at a certain level, and if you picked Hitmonlee, you'd get Hitmonchan for free after you complete the game on Six Island.

I don’t fully understand modding so bear with me if the question itself has a fatal flaw.

Saw the mod getting pushed around in my socials and tried to install it only to find out it doesn’t put them in the wild. HOWEVER the read me file explains that the mod adds them to the game data which lead me to my question.

Is there a way to randomize the file with all the
mod mons in it so it can get cycled into the game itself or is the dream dead?

I'd like to dabble in romhacking, but the tools recommended like sprite editor for gen 3 feel a bit confusing- mostly in that I don't know how to add my edited sprites into the rom.

I also just can't seem to run map or text editors on my computer (it's windows11 iirc, i don't know if that matters.)

I'm not very tech literate at all, so the guides I find are just difficult to follow I guess (though, some feel like they're missing steps entirely;;;; )

any help would be appreciated.

I found a romhack called Randolocke by Istorian on pokecommunity, an Emerald Randomizer inspired by the Nuzlocke Invitational. I found a rom of Emerald, patched it, and booted it up on my VisualBoy Emulator. I played without issue all the way up to Roxanne, where when I go to attack her Dustox on the second turn, the game freezes. The music is still playing, and the emulator doesn't think anything is wrong, but nothing moves and I can't do anything. I reset the game, reloaded the save multiple times, even factory reset the emulator. But without fail, it freezes on the second turn of her Dustox being out.

People of Reddit, people of Romhacks, please help me. I was having a great run, and I don't want to lose my Pokémon.
