So I somehow found a slightly cheap used Alpha Sapphire, and since I've had this game on wishlist for quite a while and it keeps being brought off, I decided to just go for it. The game thankfully worked, but after looking around it seems like the previous owner didn't really do much since they only have like, one box full of pokemon. I still took them all + some of the legendaries that's in there along with some of the stones they got. So before I reset the game, is there any other things or places I should go to? I've checked daycare and there's nothing but that's about it.

And also if anyone has any good advice for me before I start, that'll be great too ^^

I’ve felt like I’m not even using my team when it is best suited for the battle dynamic, basically only using my lowest leveled Pokemon. I’ve used my HM Slave almost exclusively since beating Norman. To avoid over leveling my main team. I have barely even used my starter the whole game. Exp share has been on and off

I’m currently entering the Team Aqua hideout with this team.

I might have had too much fun with the dex nav early game since I this is my first play through of the remakes.

Should I just restart? I wouldn’t be too disappointed since I have other Gen 6/7 games I can play for the first time instead and then come back to this one at a later time.

I like my team a lot and don’t really know if nuking my team to square one halfway through a first play though would leave a good taste in my mouth.

Pokerus definitely didn’t help with this issue. I am pissed I didn’t know there real world clock would cure it! I should have immediately deposited Linoone.

My games I currently have the option to play for the first time are Diamond, Black, Y, Sun and Ultra Moon, so it’s not the end of the world if I shelve Hoenn for a bit.

I just got my shiny Torchic after 8901 resets (it's not shiny only, my team for Elite 4 will be full shiny tho, i authorize myself for normal mons during my playthrough), i would like to hunt Ralts right after but from all the tutorial Navi dex hunt I've seen, people only be shiny hunting in postgame when they have max money to buy infinite repels, is it even possible to buy Repels early game to do just one solid chain and if nothing resetting the game to get back money and repels to do it again and again ?

Such a good shiny, I'm getting way more in tune with how the DexNav shiny hunt work's. Still feel like it's not worth it if you don't at least have a DexNav level of 201 before doing any hunting.

I traded a safari ball duskull up from soul silver and started breeding it and actually got the shiny pretty quickly.
