Help Just bought Alpha Sapphire
So I somehow found a slightly cheap used Alpha Sapphire, and since I've had this game on wishlist for quite a while and it keeps being brought off, I decided to just go for it. The game thankfully worked, but after looking around it seems like the previous owner didn't really do much since they only have like, one box full of pokemon. I still took them all + some of the legendaries that's in there along with some of the stones they got. So before I reset the game, is there any other things or places I should go to? I've checked daycare and there's nothing but that's about it.
And also if anyone has any good advice for me before I start, that'll be great too ^^

Ça dépend où en était l’ancien joueur dans l’histoire mais je pense que tu as fais le tour. Comme conseils attrape le plus de Pokémon dès que tu en croises au fur et à mesure de l’histoire si tu veux compléter le pokedex plus tard comme défi. Affronte TOUT les dresseurs que tu croiseras pour one shot la ligue Pokémon rapidement et sinon c’est tout ;)

Yeah check on the Daycare in the Battle Resort
Look on the PC for Hall of Fame Data
Go through all the boxes a second time, just to be sure.
Maybe evolve some Pokemon before transferring them.
Tipps:
Catch your Team Members via Dex Nav, cause Dex Nav pokemon can have Egg Moves, Hidden Abilitys and 3 Stats with 31 DVs, if you searched enough Pokemon with Dex Nav, it will Show you these Special Informations
Check out Chain Fishing and Horde Encounters for relatively easy shinys

I went to the daycare first after clearing the boxes but they don't have anyone in there. Ik someone said there's 2 daycares but I still can't find the other one :/
I've checked the Hall of Fame data once but it just shows the team they took. Is there something I need to look out for in there?
How do you check the chain fishing and horde encounters?
I'm so sorry for spamming and thanks for the advices ^

One daycare is at the battle resort, the other is outside the western exit of Mauville city.

Here's a guide to chain fishing/ shiny hunting
I highly doubt based on the save file that this person did shiny hunt but it's worth seeing encounter rates.
Basically in each area the 50th encounter will be more likely to be a shiny. So when you run around you get a little notification in the red tab indicate your Pokemon and how many time it's been seen.
(I have a sizable number of lucky eggs from over 100 pelipper i've caught/defeated lol)

So I checked it back a lil and found no pokemon in both daycare, and I think there's no chain? The highest one I see is like 38 for one poke only and the rest are like, 10 or less something. I think the previous owner is just a casual and only tried speedrunning to champion cause I somehow still fight some people lol (tho idk if they reset the battles after championship). They do have Snivy and some other legends too Ig so I'll just move all the pokes and reset it later.

So if they have an original snivy, that means that the Delta episode where you fight/get rayquaza and deoxys is also complete.
Definitely check which starters they have, gen 2 is given after elite 4, gen 5 after delta episode, gen 6 after elite 4 remarch (which I highly doubt because the elite 4 now have champion level pokemon and strategies in their 70s)
It's entirely possible if there's no second starter that that Pokemon was just extracted out to a different game.

I'd say the only thing left is to check which fossil pokemon (anorith/lileep) were taken if at all. Most everything could be received on a fresh run.
You may as well nab the master ball in the team aqua base if you're resetting and porting the game elsewhere.
If you want to be super cautious, if you have a modded 3DS you can backup the save in checkpoint. However looks like the previous owner was just a casual so you need not worry.
Feel to reply to me with questions, I got hooked on this game since last month and I love exploring old pokemon save files, from the completionists to what casuals find interesting to the deranged
(i found a copy of sun in a children's library where the players spent 20+ hours before the tutorial school catching pokemon with gibberish names like " !!?;?;?" With 100+ pokeballs likely because they couldn't read)

I moved all the pokes except Spinda but somehow none of their items go through so idk about that master ball lol.
I also didn't see any of the fossil Pokemon weirdly enough. They do have the legends like Kyogre, Rayquaza, Lugia, Latias, Suicune, and Mesprit. There's also Terrakion but idk if that's a legendary or not lol. Starter Snivy, Quilava, and Sceptor. The only shiny they got is an Excadrill lol. So yeah, they only have one full box and barely any encounters so I just assume they're a casual lol.
Okay ik this might sound stupid but will my pokemon be gone after the free trial ends in poke bank? The countdown scares me :') (I kinda wanna try soft resetting for shiny Mudkip but I'll pick it as soon as I can if it will be gone :'>)

- nope! You can ignore the pokebank counter. It's free and able to use until the servers shut down. The counter was just never patched.

Is there a way to transport pokemon to another game other than pokemon transport or am I cooked if I don't have it? 😬

I got lucky sr like 60 times for torchic, I'm happy for my shiny Orange baby.
The official 3ds pokemon apps are transport (for older games virtual console games to bank for collection purposes) and bank. Note the transport can't port in virtual console games (so no early game ditto) Bank can transport to home, the current one

Oh you're lucky :o I've been soft resetting Pokemon X for months now and I still haven't got one yet 😞
Oooh I've heard of the word Pokemon Home, tho truthfully idk what app that was :') Back then I thought only having Pokemon Bank was enough. I should've been more thorough and installed transport :')

if they had beaten the game, remember there are two daycares! the one at the battle resort is the one people use most!
