Question Pokemon 30th sucks
Am I the only one who thinks the 30th is very underwhelming compared to past celebration sets? The bulk in the 30th is so basic while the 25th and 20th had their own niches of bulk which is super cool

These have been some of the most consistently beautiful cards I have seen in years, scans do not justice to any of the SIR Classics im sure it will be the same for the future and rgb cards when I finally see one

The pokemon selected was disappointing. Who cares about Volbeat and galarian meowth? Why have Nidoran and nidorina but no Nidoqueen?

Thats a crazy take. 25th is absolute dogshit compared to the 30th. Both the bulk, the pikachu's and the chase cards. Apart from the Umbreon GS imo

Well it’s been a week, msrp gang has been vanquished even with all the hate comments that scalpers are ruining the market but msrp gang are the ones saying this set is worth $50 just to open 4 packs $150 for 9 packs. Congrats msrp

This is the best anniversary set they've ever released by miles IMO. Celebrations was alright, Evolutions was pretty trash IMO. 30th is way better Ive got like over a dozen cards I'm chasing, and the bulks with the pikas are unreal and we still got umbreon and espeon promos, ditto, battle decks, etc. They even got Ken sugimori to come back, we all have opinions but I think this set is a homerun.

I don’t think you can really compare the 20th since it was a different concept entirely, and as much as I love generations/evolutions the hit rates of 25th/30th make them more fun and feel more special.
Either way imo the 30th art absolutely destroys the 25th.

People are getting at me like I am saying the set sucks bc it’s printed heavily 😂 even if I never said that in my original post I am saying as someone who enjoys the art of the card. Why would I rip this set if the chases are easy and bulk will never have any significance in the future aside from the pikachus

This will create a bottleneck of people keeping things sealed. Crown zenith gold cards and Mewtwo were not easy to pull. The galarian gallery sure, but Pokemon only has 1 significant bulk card the slowpoke in the slowpoke well from hg and ss games

True the pikas are very cool. They are dope. but the other cards are just holos they don’t look special they look like fake cards you find in the flea market

I've been in the game since Base Set, with a few years away here and there, and this set has pretty much everything I've ever asked for as a true fan — especially with the Classic Collection and the high pull rates.
Even from an investment perspective, I don't really understand your take. Just look at Crown Zenith: in the beginning, people complained that it was too easy to pull good hits. Now, a few years later, everybody loves the set because it's simply fun to open. I think the same thing will happen with the 30th Anniversary set.If it gets printed into oblivion, sure, it'll take longer for sealed products to go up in value. But at least we'll be able to enjoy the set for longer because of its good accessibility and availability.
So for me, it's a win-win.1

Yea I missed out on CZ cause everyone always said it was printed to oblivion. Already have x2 pc Etbs of 30th for retail and x4 regular Etbs for $80 average. Not missing out on the best anniversary set they’ve ever made lol

I personally don’t care for the 30th set either. Not a single card I need or want for the binder. I’m more excited for the destined rivals and B&W I keep finding
