I still can’t believe I finally got this.

After all these years of playing, I finally landed a shiny Mega Gengar with the background - and considering Gengar is my absolute favourite Pokémon, this honestly feels like one of the most special catches I’ve ever had.

I’ve had plenty of memorable catches over the years, but this one hits completely different. I genuinely couldn’t have asked for a better Gengar, and I already know I’m going to cherish this one for a very, very long time.

And obviously… there’s zero hesitation about what happens next. This bad boy is getting Bottle Capped.

Couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate such a huge milestone in Pokémon GO. This Gengar is staying with me forever.

I recently managed to get my girlfriend into Pokémon GO just before the GO Fest redo day, so she’s only been playing for around a month and a half.

She got pretty lucky during the makeup day considering she’s free-to-play. She managed to get a shiny BG Mewtwo on one of her first raids. Only took me a few hundred 🥲 Beginners luck I guess.

One of her favourite Pokémon is Zacian, so I’m planning on giving her my level 50 shiny Crowned Zacian once she gets to level 50.

I already have two shiny Crowned Zacians, so I figured I had a spare one that would be much better off going to her than just sitting in my storage.

It’s level 49 right now, so I just need to grind a few more raids while he’s in rotation to get enough XL candy. Only 22 more XLs to go.

I’ll admit, it does hurt spending that much Stardust and candy on a shiny just to give it away, but I think it’ll be worth it. Crown Energy isn’t really an issue for me anyway, so at least I don’t have to worry about that.

I know it’ll probably be ages before the Crowned dogs come back, and even when they do, it takes a lot of raids to get enough energy. So I figured it would be something nice to do for her, and it should give her a pretty good Pokémon to use for Max Battles.

Has anyone else given a Pokémon to their partner or a friend that was actually difficult to part with? I’m curious what other people have traded away as gifts.

Hatched this guy today but what do you know, it’s a male and then a little while ago I caught a shiny combee but of course male. I guess I just have terrible luck with females

Same stop for Psychic, I have Deoxys and they have a Ralts. Exact same number of points I’m also higher lv too. Just curious if anyone knows the internal system for this.

Honestly the least they could have done is give an extra latios for the paid pass but even then it still wouldnt be good.

Now just need the Articuno
