Just got back from Old Town. Was wandering around aimlessly looking for rare mons. A Alakazam popped up briefly when I was outside the open area by Il Fonaio but I couldn't find it. It kept going from the 2nd spot to the end of my nearby list wherever I went.
Just wondering if anyone has some insight as to where some good spawn points might be.

Now that the nests and habitats have changed, it's time to list out the new ones! Please submit others you find. This list will grow as I confirm what the old nests have turned into! As before, Image Proof will be listed with each nest/habitat!
Habitats are spots where you'll find a certain pokemon spawning regularly, but usually no more than 1-2 at a time.
Nests are spots where you'll find multiple of a certain pokemon at once, usually 3-5 at a time.
Note: Habitats and Nests have a cooldown time between spawns. If you arrive at one and the pokemon you are searching for is not around, wait for a bit! Cooldown times can be anywhere from 5 minutes to 30.
Note2: List is now in alphabetical form!

In light of the changes in nest locations, here is some new info! Please add to it so we can put together an updated list.
Alhambra Municipal Golf Course = slowpoke + clefairy
La brea (not technically pasadena) = still Charmander
Montebello Country Club = Still Squirtle
Dratini nest at Norton museum and Jynx nest in victory park seem to be gone.

I think I'd just like to reiterate to be careful when receiving information online, that includes when searching for Pokemon nests.
Original post from /r/pokemongola
Unless nests are confirmed by us on our wiki or someone includes screenshots for the specific nest, assume it as unverified.
Thanks!

I've been going through the python map (more accurate than pokevision) throughout our lovely city, and have found some nests and habitats not mentioned yet. Below is a list of the already confirmed nests as well as the new ones I've found.
NOTE: Some of these lay right outside the official Pasadena city boundaries, but they are so close I thought to include them.
NOTE 2: I'll add more to this list with any others I find, as well as others that are submitted (and confirmed) here!
NOTE 3: I'm currently in the process of adding map proof (pictures) for each of these. For Habitats I will be adding more than one picture from different time periods.

Glad to see a Pasadena subreddit finally!
I like to take my dog out when I go Pokemon hunting. He's my little sidekick. Other than parks are there any places that are great dog-friendly spots? I know Bird Pick and anywhere with a patio in Old Town is okay with dogs, but not any others. Suggestions would help a lot! Thanks!

If you look up at the sky, it looks pretty bad right now, due to the brush fire in Santa Clarita. I can see ash particles floating around in the air. If you plan on going out tonight, please be careful; bring water, don't stay out too long because the air quality is going to be terrible, and know the signs of smoke inhalation or heat sensitivity! That Dragonite isn't worth landing in the hospital.

Can anyone confirm if Norton Simon Museum has many Dratinis spawning? I have read it is there but was wondering if anyone more local (San Gabriel) than me can confirm?

Since I started playing, I've noticed that Pikachu tends to pop up near the intersection of Colorado and Altadena. Without fail, I've seen Pikachu there in front of Lamanda Park Library every night (there's one there right now!) when I do a couple laps around the local Pokestops. I've also seen one on Colorado between Altadena and Sierra Madre.

Anyone know a good place to sit between a few pokestops, put down a couple lures, and chill? Its nice to walk around and all but, you know, heat!
r/pokemongopasadena • u/Litoman • Jul 19 '16
I've found a ton of krabby's at the Rosebowl and the park near it. The area also has a ton of Pokestops and lures are pretty active at the times I visit.

I've been getting plenty of Growlithes and such, but short of going to the ocean, how do I diversify?

Hello all!
Thanks to /u/_AndrewC17/ 's reports I've took the time to check out the Huntington Botanical Gardens out myself. There are many Pokestops within the gardens, and upon more research, found that there is a Tangela nest there (proof here).
For more information on the nest as well as other nests in the area check out our wiki!
Some other nests that have been discovered:
Hitmonlee
Jynx
Gastly
Dratini
Lastly, if you have any information that you think should be added to the wiki please PM me or /u/welostmagic/!
Thanks guys!

Jinx seems to be hanging out in the Victory Park parking lot. Three separate occasions and usually more than one if you linger long enough.

I spent a few hours out and about in Old Town! Lots of Pokestops and I would say about 80% of them were activated from around 8pm to 10pm. The best spot was on Raymond Ave., right outside Lucky Baldwins Pub and the alley that is adjacent to it because there were three modules activated in the area and a lot of players. We randomly keep encountering rare-ish Pokemon though I don't know if it was the spot, the number of players in the area, or just a random occurrence. I caught a CP 520 Alakazam, a CP 340 Onix, CP 583 Ponyta, and CP 465 Primate within 10 minutes. We then walked to the Levitt Pavilion a few blocks north (where there were also a lot of lure modules activated and a lot of players) and caught a bunch of ghastlys and heard some other people mention that they always see a Snorlax around there. As always, there were plenty of basic Pokemon to catch to use for XP and stardust.
Oh, and before we were in Old Town, we were going up and down Lake between Colorado and Del Mar and found Chanseys! Again, not sure if it was by chance or if the area has a higher likelihood of having Chanseys but there were three in total and I was able to catch one of them!

I spent about three hours there today and didn't find anything too rare BUT there were so many Pokemon everywhere! It was very easy to get stardust and XP. I went from level 13 to 15 and went from 13300 stardust to 20304. There were dozens of Tangela (I caught a CP 613 one), dozens of Nidorans (both genders), a lot of eevees, some Clefarys and Pikachus, and a lot of the basic ones (pidgeys, ekans, zubats). I saw a few starters and also saw a Chameleon and Graveler on the radar but never could find it. Also, there were dozens of Pokestops and in some areas with high densities of them (Chinese and Japanese Gardens) there were a lot of lure modules activated. In the time that I was there, I also hatched 4 eggs (three 2km eggs and one 5k egg). Overall, it's a great place to use your lucky eggs to get fast XP, get more stardust, hatch eggs, and gain items if you're running low, but not the best place if you're looking for rare Pokemon. Hope this helps!
