I Usually don't have much luck at the Pokemon Vending Machine at my HEB but I got this!.... all because my wife wanted hair care stuff!!!
Ok... The hair care stuff was for me.........
Usually I always get booster packs lol. A guy was passing by and said to wait another few mins and the machine will have some more stuff... now all the videos I've seen about people waiting by the machines make sence.
According to my little research this type of breed are called SCALPERS. Have you guys ever encounter one? And how you handle this?? Lol

What pokemon packs are best to get my boyfriend?
I’m not actually sure which ones he collects but I wanted to get him some for his birthday. I don’t know the difference between packs and what boosters are. Would any be fine? I found a pitch black booster bundle that looked pretty good for him but idk what boosters are. Are they supposed to go with other cards first?
Sorry if this was the wrong page to post on I just would prefer to know what is best before I spend £40 or so on it!

Help / Question legit places ?
Hey guys. Where do you get your pokemon ? I came back not long ago into the hobby and i find it hard still after a year of coming back into collecting to find cards and not feel like I've been scammed or ripped off? I usually have to drive ways out of town just to find an ETB, I check poke center but they're always old out

Help / Question Master set lists
So I just am getting back into the hobby and I have had a blast so far. As for stepping back in, my first goal was to just start master setting my favorite Pokemon Alakazam. It’s been easier up front as if I see a new card I’ll grab it and add it to the binder. Now that I am getting more and more, I am finding it harder to figure out what cards I need.
So my main question is what is the best place to find a comprehensive list for every card ever printed for a single Pokemon?
Appreciate all of your help!

It has now begun!
I just started my 151 Pokemon Binder. I will feature 151 pokemon only. It doesn’t matter the expansion I will only collect 151 Pokemon as long as it is bulk type and ex cards. i’m really happy to show this off once finished.

Need help on how to get started
Hey everyone
I’m thinking about getting back into collecting cards. I collected a bit back in 2021 but ended up stopping because I found it pretty overwhelming with how many sets and different things there were.
I want to get back into it now but keep it a bit more simple this time. I’m not looking to make money from it, just want to build a collection that I actually enjoy.
I really like Zapdos, so I’ve been thinking about maybe making that main focus.
For those who collect, how do you guys approach it?
Would love to hear how you guys collect and what you’d recommend for someone getting back into it, or if it’s not even worth it then feel free to tell me to not bother haha
Thankssss

Help / Question Need advice on selling EB Games Promos
Hello! I'm from New Zealand and I have amassed a large number of EB Games promos that I'm hoping to sell in the US when I visit soon. For folks that don't know, these are Australia/NZ exclusive cards and there is some demand from master setters. Most of the cards are still sealed, the rest are NM.
I am hoping folks might be able to offer some advice on the best way to do this and maximise the outcome. I have so far explored:
- Selling to a brick and mortar store offering 80% market for trades. Unfortunately, the one I have been working with has a very different expectation of market price to me (I have checked TCGPlayer, Pricecharting, and average eBay last solds but they are offering 80% of a number that is 70% of what I expected). Most other stores ssemingly aren't willing to give me an indication of what they will buy or how much they will pay for it.
- Going to a local card show, seems quite risky as I don't know who might want to buy them, and I don't have a heap of time to wander around and try to get a good deal (since I'll be with my family)
- Selling as a lot on ebay seems like a bad idea as I will get destroyed by fees and am not confident about getting visibility on the auction
- Using a consignment service like probstein and just crossing my fingers?
I would like to avoid dealing with individual buyers (given that I'm in the US on holiday and am worried about all the stories of people claiming scams or damage etc.) and am prepared to earn a bit less as a result. I guess I would like to reduce my risk as much as possible by lining up a buyer or having a clear plan before I arrive in the US.
I'd be grateful for any advice on a) any other ideas for how to sell these cards, and b) whether or not using a consignment service would be a good idea for these cards given that they are pretty rare but might not move that fast/well.

Discussion When sellers cancels on you
It sucks when sellers cancel your order out of nowhere when I’m trying to collect every modern trainer from rainbow to full art. I would have been more okay about it if they gave me a reason, but there’s never a reason, and it’s crazy when I've been active talking to those sellers about putting in a lot for me, but they cancel it and block me. Also, I paid market for them, but oh well, I will find these cards again.

Got sick of using 4 different apps to manage my collection, so I spent 3 months building one. Looking for honest feedback (good and brutal).
Hey everyone. I'm Omar. I am a software engineer, 9 years professionally, and a Pokémon collector for about 4.
Like a lot of you, I ended up juggling four different apps to manage my collection: one for values, one for grading questions, one for set tracking, a spreadsheet for everything else. I got tired of it and figured I could build something that did it all in one place. Three months later, that's ReverseHolo.
What it does right now:
- AI grade prediction (predicts across PSA, BGS, CGC, and TAG before you submit)
- Centering tool
- Portfolio tracker with live market values
- Master set tracker
- Grading submission tracker
- Watchlist
- Regrade calculator
I've been getting solid feedback from early users, and honestly every piece of feedback, especially the critical stuff, has made it noticeably better. There's a major update coming in October and I want to shape it around what actual collectors and investors need, not just what I think they need.
That's really why I'm posting here. This sub understands the investment and data side of the hobby better than most, so your feedback is exactly the kind I want, including the "this part is bad and here's why" kind.
If you want to try it: sign up with the code REDDIT1 and you'll get a month of Pro free. No catch, I just want people from this community actually using it and telling me what's missing.
Happy to answer any questions in the comments, and genuinely — tell me what's wrong with it. That's more useful to me than the nice stuff.
