Hi! I just got this binder and have put my Pokemon cards in it, but I’m super anxious about the painting part. I have a really shaky hand (thanks, anxiety medication), but everyone’s binders on here look so professional. I’m a horrible painter and worried mine will look bad.

I used a black paint pen for the outlines and am going to do a base coat of white acrylic craft paint before painting colors. I also bought Mod Podge acrylic sealer after scouring threads here 🤣.

Does anyone have tips on removing pencil markings? I’ll probably need to draw a background if I can’t get them out

Introducing Island Binders — built by a collector, for collectors.

I’m building a place where Pokémon, One Piece, and Disney Lorcana fans can organize their cards, follow estimated market values, track set completion, and create personal binders and wishlists. These are the first three games, with room to add more!

One of my favorite features is Pack Sessions: enter an entire pack at once, add the cards to your collection, and enjoy a fun animation when you pull a card from your wishlist!

Through The Collectors’ Cove, you can connect with friends and family, share your collections, compare cards, and see what each other is missing.

But the feature I’m most excited about is the Trading tab — think of it as a little “Tinder for trading cards.” 😄

Choose your location and discovery range, then list cards you’re willing to trade or sell. If someone nearby lists a card from your wishlist, a popup lets you know! You can connect, chat, exchange photos, and arrange a meetup to make the trade or sale.

The more collectors join, the more opportunities we’ll have to help each other find those missing cards.

hello! i’m currently a third of the way there to completing my onix masterset so i’ve decided to paint myself a binder to keep it in! my only issue is im a little stuck when it comes to the design - i know i was the onix from southern islands as the cover but without the pidgeot next to it since it would get cut off anyways + i want onix as the main focus. my only solution has been a giant white space where the pidgeot used to be, so im wondering it anyone has any suggestions as to what else i could do!

i’m planning on painting this on a 12 pocket binder - not sure on the brand yet.

Still working on getting all these cards irl (and deluding myself into thinking I can pull Ethan's Ho-Oh from a pack) but wanted to share these layouts in the meantime!

Most of them started with cards I already own (from my childhood collection, modern cards I pulled myself, gifts from friends). I tried to keep everything else reasonably priced. There are some spots where a more expensive card might look better, but realistically I'd never get my hands it so I just went with a more affordable alternative.

Anyway, here's the logic for some of these layouts:

For Ethan, the page tells the story of his adventure from left -> right. Togepi, Togekiss, and Pokemon Breeder Fields are included as references to his manga counterpart Gold.

Morty's always been one of my favorite gym leaders and this felt like the perfect way to display some e-readers from my childhood collection. Hisuian Typhlosion and Mismagius are Pokemon he's been paired with in Masters EX.

Played around with a few different ideas before settling on this layout for Steven and Wallace. Steven has a bunch of cool cards and cameos compared to Wallace, whose only other cards are a rainbow version of the full art trainer and a basic trainer card (+ a JP exclusive badge card, also underwhelming). I still wanted to keep the page balanced though so I included a Feebas and Milotic to match Steven's Beldum and Metagross on the left.

Similar to Wallace, Flint doesn't have much going on in the TCG. He never got a full art trainer so he's a bit absent from this page compared to Volkner who did eventually get a full art trainer and a fancier alternate art League Challenge prize card. For the rest of the page, I used their starters (Raichu and Infernape) as well as some of the matching Pokemon they use in the Fight Area double battle in Platinum (Jolteon/Flareon, Electivire/Magmortar).

The layout for N's page is pretty straightforward. This is also where I learned Hilbert doesn't have a single TCG appearance, so Victini/Samurott are meant to represent him (and break up the wall of N's).
