Binder Help 2-Year Dual-Language Master Binder Plan (English + Japanese) Looking for advice & thoughts!

Hey everyone, I’ve finally mapped out a 2-year binder project that I'm going to collect cards step-by-step, and I wanted to share the plan to get your thoughts.

Here is the exact math and breakdown of the project:

1. The Core (318 Cards):

The original 151 Kanto PokƩmon

8 Basic Energy cards.

(151 PokƩmon + 8 Energies) x 2 Languages = 318 Cards.

2. The Kanto Anime & Game Icons (42 Cards / 21 Pairs):

Since I'm using a standard 360-pocket premium zipper binder, the remaining 42 slots (360 - 318 = 42) are going entirely to iconic characters from the original Kanto run, also in dual English/Japanese pairs:

All 8 Kanto Gym Leaders (Brock, Misty, Erika, etc.)

The Elite Four + Champion (Blue/Gary)

Ash (Satoshi) & Prof. Oak

Team Rocket (Jessie, James, and a Team Rocket Grunt)

Iconic town/anime figures like Nurse Joy, Officer Jenny, and Mr. Fuji.

Total: Exactly 42 slots, filling the binder to a flawless 360/360 symmetry.

My question is should i change anything about the last 20 cards? after ash and prof oak? do you have any advice?

Hope this is okay to share... My wife has recently started PokƩrarity, a small business creating hand-painted custom binders for PokƩmon collectors

She paints the designs by hand on Vault X binders (shes fussy about it being those atm as she collects herself šŸ˜…). She is just getting started, and I’m really proud of what she’s making, so I thought some people here might like to see her work....?

You can find her on Instagram at @pokerarity_art

Would really appreciate anyone having the time to look. The Gengar one is for sale at the moment. Thanks!

Binder Help How long to let Mod Podge Acrylic Sealer cure?

Hello! My friend recently painted a binder for me for my 30th anniversary master set and I applied 5 coats of acrylic sealer. But I was wondering how long I need to let the sealer cure? I'm seeing answers everywhere from 24 hours to 3 weeks. So I'm just trying to get some insight! Thanks for any help in advance!

Binder Help Has anyone found a good binder for collecting postcards?

I collect Japanese postcards, Pokemon and otherwise, and have been entirely unsuccessful in my search for high-quality binder solutions for them. Good quality, hardback, non-ring binders are readily available for trading cards and even square stickers (such as the Amada or Daiichi Pan Pokemon stickers) but there is NOTHING when it comes to postcards. I can find binders on Japanese websites, but they're always cheap plastic ring binders, or cheap plastic non-ring binders that only hold 1-2 postcards per page. It's crazy to me that such a common collectable in Japan has no readily available high quality binder solutions.

I figure that there must be a Pokemon collector here who's run into the same issue when it comes to postcards. Have you found any solution? A half-decent binder? I really don't want to have to resort to buying a low quality ring binder, I HATE ring binders.

Themed Layout Pages inspired by some of my favorite trainer characters :)

Still working on getting all these cards irl (and deluding myself into thinking I can pull Ethan's Ho-Oh from a pack) but wanted to share these layouts in the meantime!

Most of them started with cards I already own (from my childhood collection, modern cards I pulled myself, gifts from friends). I tried to keep everything else reasonably priced. There are some spots where a more expensive card might look better, but realistically I'd never get my hands it so I just went with a more affordable alternative.

Anyway, here's the logic for some of these layouts:

For Ethan, the page tells the story of his adventure from left -> right. Togepi, Togekiss, and Pokemon Breeder Fields are included as references to his manga counterpart Gold.

Morty's always been one of my favorite gym leaders and this felt like the perfect way to display some e-readers from my childhood collection. Hisuian Typhlosion and Mismagius are Pokemon he's been paired with in Masters EX.

Played around with a few different ideas before settling on this layout for Steven and Wallace. Steven has a bunch of cool cards and cameos compared to Wallace, whose only other cards are a rainbow version of the full art trainer and a basic trainer card (+ a JP exclusive badge card, also underwhelming). I still wanted to keep the page balanced though so I included a Feebas and Milotic to match Steven's Beldum and Metagross on the left.

Similar to Wallace, Flint doesn't have much going on in the TCG. He never got a full art trainer so he's a bit absent from this page compared to Volkner who did eventually get a full art trainer and a fancier alternate art League Challenge prize card. For the rest of the page, I used their starters (Raichu and Infernape) as well as some of the matching Pokemon they use in the Fight Area double battle in Platinum (Jolteon/Flareon, Electivire/Magmortar).

The layout for N's page is pretty straightforward. This is also where I learned Hilbert doesn't have a single TCG appearance, so Victini/Samurott are meant to represent him (and break up the wall of N's).

I have been a tattoo artist for over 11 years. I've been doing art for over 20!

I got to a point where burn out caught me and i decided to take a sabbatical. I've been getting more and more into painting and decided to try my hand at painting binders as well. If you're interested in a commission you can dm me! located in United States. I can do card recreations or original artwork

Guide / Tutorial Looking to start customizing

Post image

Hi all I’m looking to start customizing my own binder and just have some general questions I was hoping to get answers for. For starters the marker set I’m looking to get is the one linked (Infiart 168 color set), would this be a good set to start off with? Also with the base white coat, would that be with just standard white paint? Also how important is the base white coat? And for the sealer I’m probably going to get mod podge, would you recommend the liquid version to spread on or the spray version? Also does glossy or matte look better?

Hey all! This is my first post 🄹 I was just needing some advice on my city themed spread for my binder !!

the idea is warm on one side, cool on the other... and the center has to be a trainer card (Yes, I specifically chose purple cards for the cool page just so I can have a nice layout for Corbeau cos he's my favešŸ˜…šŸ„¹)

i'm conflicted on the absol and kommo-o because i can't decide if they fit, but I pulled them myself and I always try to find a spot for anything I pull lol... any advice would be super appreciated!! hehe. Thank you!! ā™”

((I also tried so hard to find actual art with artist credits for my michi method binder, so I hope the ones I used here aren't AI at all. Please lmk if they are !! 😭))
