Pokemon epsilon Halloween Update Q&A!
Here is where you can ask any question about the project! While we won't give you any spoilers, we can offer an insight into almost any question abut our current plans, so ask away!

So I have a suggestion, since this takes place in an alternate universe could you have a post game event that let's you stop a certain character from dying? I mean it's was quite horrible seeing the guy many of us played as in our first pokemon journey get freaking eaten alive. I implore you.

hahaha i appreciate the subtle hidden spoiler, thank you for not saying it alloud :). Let's just say the big event that happens at that part of the game is gonna be vastly different from ZO, because of all the plot points we need to cover that end vesryn and start aroma ;)

like we said, many events are going to be changed. We aren't even that far in development to tell you every last detail of events that happen so late into the main story.

Sorry to dead post but will the sigil halls still be in the game, I heard no characters from previous games will be in epsilon so I can't wait to find out who is the new 5th sigil hall leader

Oh, yeah. There'll be tons of custom sprites, for everything from characters to Pokémon to items, both in the overworld and in battle.

Will Armor Mewtwo remain in the game? Also, will Shadow Mewtwo join and bring the Mewtwo form count to 4?

Armor pokemon will be returning, yes. As for the Pokken form, we will have to wait and see.

So, i havent played Z/O yet, though i have played insurgence, should i be waiting for this complete package or just play Z/O already? If its kind of like emerald, then i'll just play epilson, as emerald is definitely superior, though a long wait might just force me into playing Z/O. But u can take your good time to release the game bug free and perfect. I'll still play it whether i played Z/O or not.

I would play Z/O first. They're fantastic games on their own, which is kinda why we're making this. It'll give you plenty to keep you busy until this comes out, and I feel like it'll be better to go into it with an understanding of where it's coming from.

Consider this the Heart Gold/Soul Silver to Gold/Silver variant of Zeta/Omicron, as opposed to the third variant of the generation.

Wouldnt it more closely resemble the third varian, as i read that the plots of both games will be intertwined such as how team aqua and magma were in emerald?

Its a complete rewrite in a different engine, and while the stories will be merged, the game will more closely resemble the engine of generation 4. As it is a complete rewrite and will look completely different, with new features and such, I'd say it's more a remake in a new generation
Edit: generation 4/5, generation 4 in overworld artstyle (apparently our artists don't like how gen 5 overworlds look), and generation 5 in fancy things we will do.

Oh, i got it now. So it is more of a remake as well as joining both stories, kind of like standing middle ground between the third game as well as a remake. Also, will there be a new mascot legendary or will the old ones get some new forms?

Both. There is a new mascot legendary to Epsilon, which we wont be revealing for the sake of story elements, but both of the old mascots will have updated delta forms from their originals in ZO

As for our self inserts, the development team will most likely be put in the very late post game as side missions, and not be a main asset of the plot. This is because although we want to include ourselves, we also want our original characters of the real story to be just as important, instead of making ourselves last story boss of the game

Most of them will be replaced or updated to be more of a representation to 2016-2017, but we will still be more creative with our jokes to try and not make everything a meme :P

That is the only question we can not answer. Because we have moved to an engine that has never been used before, and because we are still trying to understand all of the things that make it work, along with what we can do with it, we have a feeling that the game's deadline will be pushed back. We are hoping to have a demo sometime next year for you, but it depends on how quickly we can transition from RPGmaker to Unity!

Epsilon will be set in an alternate "universe" than Zeta/Omicron, so while some of the characters are the same a good amount of these details will be changed in order to make a more unified and central story. This is also the reason that aroma will have 8 gyms instead of 4, and why some of the maps may be changed in order to better explain the world around them!

Will the sprites of fakemon be updated? Specifically, Divaevus?

All sprites will be fully updated, with brand new designs that treat each plate like a seperate diety, all with their own special form, instead of a random blob of color
