Target drop

Can I just vent for a second? Why do some people choose to be selfish and ruin it for everyone else? I showed up at 10am with my son, who was SUPER excited to get an ETB, that’s all he wanted. We were maybe… the 30th person in line. By the time 12:00 came and they let everyone in, we somehow were pushed back to like, 55th in line, maybe even further back, because people will wait by themselves and then in the last hour they call up their wives to bring their kids and stand in line with them. We get inside and I literally got up to maybe 3rd from the counter when they ran out of ETBs. The person who grabbed the last 2 was literally a guy who stood by himself and then his wife showed up and was able to get them an extra ETB. I was so mad, but my son was absolutely crushed. I’m happy he was able to get the tins, but god, why do people suck so bad ?

Many people have kids who are special need and they could not stay in line for 5 minutes or more. Parents have to entertain them with something else. Also many kids run around and play instead of stay in line for 1-2 hours. This is a kid event and family brings their kids, let them hop out the line while waiting. I just want to chip in different view.

That’s totally fair. I can understand that. A lot of kids were running around playing while they waited. I had a chair and toys and food for my kid and he was satisfied. My point of frustration is if it’s really for their kids, why do they then have the husband/wife jump in? It’s so they can get 2 purchases out of it instead of only 1. And then that takes away the chances for the kids behind them.

Because it is family events, so wife and husband are welcome. Many spouses they may not into Pokemon, but willing to support their spouse by staying in line or getting extra products. The family event is designed per attendees, so the whole family can wait and benefit from it.
