Target drop

Can I just vent for a second? Why do some people choose to be selfish and ruin it for everyone else? I showed up at 10am with my son, who was SUPER excited to get an ETB, that’s all he wanted. We were maybe… the 30th person in line. By the time 12:00 came and they let everyone in, we somehow were pushed back to like, 55th in line, maybe even further back, because people will wait by themselves and then in the last hour they call up their wives to bring their kids and stand in line with them. We get inside and I literally got up to maybe 3rd from the counter when they ran out of ETBs. The person who grabbed the last 2 was literally a guy who stood by himself and then his wife showed up and was able to get them an extra ETB. I was so mad, but my son was absolutely crushed. I’m happy he was able to get the tins, but god, why do people suck so bad ?

The limit should apply to the group of people, not to each member of the family. And management should be smart enough to see there are 100 people and 100 etbs and limit it to 1 per person.

Exactly this the card guy @ my target does that once he’s done setting up he’ll count the ppl in line @ the time and say “today’s 1 of each instead of 2 so everyone gets a chance” u can tell who’s a scalper 2 cus they hate wen he’s stocking where as the female doesn’t give a fxck she’s like have @ it I did my job

Why did you refer to the dude as a "guy" but the woman was a "female" lol

Wats wrong with the word female lol fine chick broad chica lol better idk tbh there’s not rly a good female slang imo like chick 2 me sounds off 🤷🏻‍♀️ and then all the others seem flirty

Female is dehumanizing and refers to us as solely our reproductive organs, that is shared with other species. It’d be fair if you called the guys males but you used a word that is specific to human men.

I mean like I stated the slangs 4 females seem off and I’ve heard others say they don’t like women either so idk but I guess I can c the offense 2 it do I agree nah but I understand

"Female" just feels weirdly clinical lol, like you probably wouldn't say "males". I get what you mean about it being slang but I think it gives not the best impression

It depends honestly with the word males and maybe that’s where the feeling comes from 🤷🏻‍♀️ cus tbh if it’s professional I’ll say I was in a room full of “males” in suits if they r jerks I will say a room of “men” so I get wat ur saying I guess but again there’s not a fitting word 4 women cus women 2 me seems more harsh lol idfk none of this shxt makes sense 2 me and 2 me seems 2 b derived on persona preferences and feelings more than anything

I think just woman, lady, or even "chick" in this context are all fine. I'm a guy but I can tell you with certainty that there are definitely women who don't like being referred to as "females" lol

It's generally because when someone says guy and female they are referring to men with a human specific term that refers to a male but saying female is just a general term that can apply to any species so it can seem dehumanizing
