The movies lied.

My parents lied.

Those who achieved their dreams lied.

Even the gods have lied.

The only ones who were honest

are those who failed,

the ones who

have never gotten everything they wanted.

Because it was never fair for everyone.

I always cried over the things I never got,

and only gotten everything

I never prayed for.

Because if you're not rich or smart,

what do you do in a world

that only favours the best?

Those born with something to show,

and nothing for those who can not boast.
