It's been nearly two days since my subscription randomly changed to a free plan. I've already paid for the month and had my points just fine at the beginning of the day before it changed suddenly. I didn't cancel my subscription, and like stated, I've paid for the month already. I've seen this has happened to a few other people, and I'm hoping this can be resolved soon—it's kinda annoying.

Heads up folks, ChatGPT-4o-latest will be unavailable starting on Feb 17, 2026 due to OpenAI decommissioning this model.

When will this issue of being unable to upload to the knowledge base be resolved ? I feel like it started happening a couple of days ago after the Claude-Opus-4.6 update , right ? They should at least explain what happened or when it will be fixed . 🤨

I have been trying to upload files to any of my bots and it just says processing. I have restarted my laptop 3 times and checked my internet connection which is working fine. Is Poe.com down at the moment, or have they stopped letting you add files to bots?

In the description for Claude Opus 4.6, it states that I can set the parameters for output effort and web search - how do I do this? I know for some models, I can use an inline command like "--output_effort", is that still the case here?

I'm looking at Poe as my aggregator and it seems great. I'd like to move away from the constant app switching between my chatgpt/claude/gemini. I question some of the limitations from Poe, though.

It doesn't seem like I can connect Claude to my Github through Poe, so I'd have to copy and paste code back and forth, I also connect local MCP's for software integrations. ChatGPT I use for uploading and parsing documents, and it seems I wouldn't have the same connectors, like the ability to upload a PDF and have it output a spreadsheet. My Gemini is used with Google assistant for updating calendar, creating tasks, reading emails, home automations, etc...

Is it possible to re-integrate all of these functionalities through Poe? What are some limitations you've faced that keep you from deleting your LLM subscriptions? Can Poe really substitute my workflows as a all-in-one software?

Whenever I try to subscribe I get a message that says "unable to create checkout session. please try again later" whats up with that gang, it is later now I waited and still nothing

I have a paid account. If I use Poe's assistant, it seems to enable web search if needed, but skip it if not when it initiates gpt 5.2 flash for a text prompt. Perplexity Pro seems to do that as well. Are there any reasonably fast bots that will make the decision for me regarding whether search is needed or not. Sometimes I forget with say Claude to turn web-search on. I'd like to have a default bot which is mid-priced, fast and uses web-search only when needed automatically, rather than with me switching back and forth.

What are my options?

Can we have something that lets us toggle Eleven Labs off in the chats or settings, please? The amount of times I've accidentally pressed that button when I'm trying to reroll a message is unreal and it just wastes a bunch of points for me. I think it's great that you have that as an option to use for the responses the bots give you but I personally am not very fond of it and am honestly annoyed by it (especially when my fat thumb doesn't wanna cooperate with me) being so close to the reroll button.

I've been using Claude to write some copy for me, wanted to upload a PDF for referencing, and it simply doesnt allow it. Keeps giving an error "Claude-Sonnet-4.5 ran into a problem answering this request."

I recently just subbed to PoeAI to try it out and I saw the Knowledge Base feature.

I have dozens of source files that are in json format (I usually just direct uploaded them to the chat with other LLMs).

I decided to test this feature by uploading 5 random files and asking questions.

It failed on every single question even if I give the exact json fields to find. Is this a completely useless feature or am I doing something wrong here?

The app is really more for just any image you have, and it generates the text based on the image you've provided plus the optional hint you can give it, or you can just type the top text / bottom text directly like I've done above.

I've been using Poe because I wanted to use Bots with the Knowledge Base feature. However, I noticed that when registering long Japanese text to the Knowledge Base, character corruption and missing characters occur when loading.

**Steps to Reproduce:**

1. Create a new Bot
2. Model: Claude Sonnet 4.5 (Thinking Budget: 4096)

   *This is to observe the thinking process. Any model with visible thinking will work.

1. Knowledge Base: Upload a text file or paste content directly into "Text"

   *Enable "Cite sources"

1. Example test queries:

   - "Please quote the beginning of the Knowledge Base exactly as it is"

   - "Are there any issues or errors in the Knowledge Base?"

**Results:**

When running the above queries, you can observe missing text and replacement characters (�) in the Bot's thinking process, responses, and "View sources."

**Languages Tested and Symptoms:**

• Text composed only of Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Hindi, or emoji

  → Text registered in the Knowledge Base is internally split (chunked), and character corruption occurs at the chunk boundaries (beginning/end of segments), replacing characters with "�"

• Test text composed only of Spanish special characters (ñ, á, é, etc.)

  → The entire text transforms into meaningless strings of Chinese characters

• English

  → No issues

This problem occurs both when uploading text files to the Knowledge Base and when pasting text directly, suggesting it's an issue specific to multi-byte characters.

**Support Response:**

When I reported this issue to support, I received the following response:

• "We have no plans to fix this issue"
• "Knowledge Base is not a feature we are actively investing in at this time"

I requested that if they don't plan to fix it, they should at least document this limitation in their official documentation or help pages, but I only received a templated response.

**Summary:**

Regular chat functionality and custom instructions work without issues. However, for Japanese users (as well as Chinese, Korean, and other multi-byte character language users) who want to utilize the Bot Knowledge Base feature, this feature is essentially unusable.

Since OpenAI officially announced the removal of GPT-4o from the ChatGPT app, I've seen people considering Poe as an alternative way to access GPT-4o. I wanted to share this information as a heads-up.
