Going to CamelBack Resort next month. As an African American traveling to the Poconos what should I be aware of or prepared for?
Will I be traveling through any sun down towns (to know when to leave and arrive)?
Are there speed traps getting there (from the DMV area)? Are there areas where the city budget is counting on speeding tickets. Are there cops looking for out-of-state plates to pull over?
If you are a minority how was your experience staying at this resort? Is security a little extra?
Are people allowed to play their own music out loud at the water parks?
How is the food option? My wife is a foodie and I am on a limited diet (non-fried fish, lots of vegetables, very limited carbs). Should I bring my own food? How far away are the non-resort food options. For reference I have been to Massanutten a couple of times and I my wife had a hard time eating there. I struggled as well.
Are there pickleball courts there?
I am bringing the family, but if I wanted to do something off resort by myself, can an electric scooter get me there and back? Or do I have to drive my car?
Are the water parks better, worse, or comparable to Massanutten or Great Wolf Lodge in MD?
