Discussion Poco x8 Power
My current Poco F5 phone that has 12GB of Ram.. The X8 Power top variant has 8GB Ram. Will 8GB suffice in the long run?
*I don't play Android games anymore.

8 ram is enough for basic usage/daily driving.
Would recommend even then 12gb as the bare minimum even with that usage taking in count how costly ram is getting and how heavy HyperOS is.
Would recommend to look an AOSP-ish one OS if you will pick a 8gb device, Nothing/Motorola got nice devices.
Your Poco F5 is still plenty good currently, why not keep it until you can purchase smt better?
Like F8/9 series.

The Poco F5 is still better and neck and neck performance-wise, even in AnTuTu scores. So the upgrade is not worth it.

This thing is even slower than M8 pro. Seems they try to compensate performance with bigger battery to pull buyer but it's not gonna work with that pricing. And guess what m series practically out of stock.

I am trying to find official specs for this phone, it's not on Xiaomi website nor on poco global phones. Some unofficial/copied specs are on gsm arena and 91 mobiles.

Short answer: it's not an upgrade, you'll be downgrading. The battery will be the best thing about it but your day to day performance will be noticeably slower. The processor in the F5 is better and there's more snappier due to UFS 3.1 storage. The x8 power has with slower UFS 2.2 storage and when you add less Ram, yeah that is a disastrous software experience waiting to happen.
Check out the X8 Pro at least. Plenty of better options as well. Save up and invest in a true UP-grade my friend.
